There is usually some form of intelligent life dwelling in ancient dungeons. Whether it be Bandits, Falmer, Undead. I think that they probably keep it lit so that they don't have to be in the dark when a Dragonborn sneaks up on them. :biggrin:

Would add to immersion if you had light them as you go. All the cries "Ow your on my [censored] toes", "Watch where your going", "200 brooms in your inventory and not a single torch, really?" from companions etc echoing in your ears. Turning around to see nothing but the blue glow of draugr eyes behind you, hoping that's the necro magic and not a genuine sparkle in his/her eyes.
