Stuck on Main Quest with 3 gated doors.. how to pass them? : V - Skyrim

Ah.... well, I guess I'm never wanting to do that with it.... For instance, where I really WANT to use it is getting into Markarth without starting the stupid, inane Forsworn Conspiracy quest - which requires (assumedly) "climbing" with it.... works fine, but when you get where you really want to go, and reset clipping, you simply fall through to the "bottom"....

Doesn't matter. I've just gone to using coc MarkarthUnderStoneKeep instead.

You can witness the scene at the front gate without starting the quest, since it doesn't begin until you read Eltrys' note, but you do end up with a reminder to read the thing in the Miscellaneous section of the journal. Gonna have to try 'zapping' myself to the Keep for a change, as I'm not too fond of that quest either.

As for the gate puzzle: what I do is sprint past the three pillars, then as I clear the third I use Whirlwind Sprint to pass the gates. I do occasionally mis-time the triggering of WWS, but I always get through within about 3 tries.
