I want 1,2,3,4, and 7 and maybe a modified 6 instead damage should relate to stamina
Damage should relate to stamina? So as you increase your stamina skill your damage increases? Thats a terrible idea IMO ha.

I think if weapons had a stamina cost when they're used it would help balance the skills, then the +damage enchantments could be changed to reduce stamina cost.

I could be wrong, but I think they meant for example....spamming power attacks with the absolute minimum amount of stamina should not do full damage.

Ah okay, my bad. This is a good idea to, you can't cast incinerate with 1 magicka so why should you be able to do the triple power attack (when dual wielding) with 1 stamina.

Even though I am a lefty, and I play one, I wouldn't call this discrimination. After all, there's only one well-known game series that features a left handed protagonist, and Nintendo's decided that Link is now right handed with no lefty option since they can't be bothered to make the wii compatible to lefties. That's what I would call discrimination. Bethesda wasn'texpected to, and we got it anyway. I'm really happy about that at least. Yeah, there was one interview which promised the shields in either hand, which I'm disappointed about, but I'm still happy that my Bosmer can be a lefty.

Of course, I'd still like to get my lefty shields and finishers. Why not add more content?

I've even been thinking about the easiest way to do it. I guess stuff in the 'apparel' folder is static, so I think they shoud just make companion shields and add them to the levelled lists. For example, we've got the Iron Shields, so just add in 'Iron Shield (L)', which will auto-equip to the other hand, and allow lefties to use them. They could also add recipes to the forge like 'Iron Shield (L) - requires 1 Iron Shield' so you can just switch hands. The enchanted shields would not be able to convert as easily, but I can enchant my own. The only problem would be the unique shields, like Peryite's Spellbreaker. I guss just add an option box or give us the righty version unless we have a lefty shield equipped.

I think my biggest problem wioth the current setup is that blocking doesn't work AT ALL if there's a weapon in the left hand, so that's an entire skill tree I'm shut out of. Even when I only have a 1h weapon, my right hand will punch, not block; whereas a 1h in the right hand will block when the left button is pushed. I feel I could probably get killed a lot less quickly if there was any way to block damage for me, so that's at the top of my wishlist. Other than that, great game with no other complaints.
Very good ideas! Being able to switch between different hands through smithing seems very realistic and logical, but I think it's more likely they would just make the shield automatically adopt to whatever hand you equip it to, just like armor adapts to body size.

About the discrimination - I'm a lefty myself and while it'd feel more natural to me having my axe in the left hand and my shield in the right, I didn't mean outright discrimination, I was just joking around, you know ;) Anyway, making shields equippable in both hands while still being able to shield bash might be difficult to make on the consoles because of the lack of buttons. Maybe make blocking toggleable? Or even better - bash by double-pressing the corresponding button. I don't know, but I'm sure there will be mods for it on the PC, given some time.

I fear the reason they won't improve the game afterwards apart from bug-fixing is because there's not really much in it for them, financially. Though I'd gladly pay a modest sum for above improvements.
