Anyone seen a Spriggan?

I feel differntly about this, in Oblivion I thought they was pathetic now they can control a huge contingent of animals and attack you. They shoot bees or something out of there hands and turn into wisp of leaves they are much more epic and in tune with nature this time and that is the way a nature guardian should be.

right, they're invisible too. First I had to find the damn thing, then I started trying to do something about the bees, before I even got a hit off I was mauled by a glowing green bear

I feel the opposite way. I found them easy in Oblivion but they are much more dangerous in Skyrim.

I think it may depend on your play style. I play ranged characters, usually pure mages. Skyrim's Spriggans are much faster than Oblivion's, plus Beth screwed up the backpedalling so you can't even really back up and attack any more (pretty silly for ranged characters, and unrealistic).

lol try walking backwards. now try running backwards

Yes I once had a spiggan matron controlling two or three cave bears and a pack of wolves and I think there was one or two bandits in the area the animals killed the bandits then they swarmed me and she was invisible turning into that wispy cloud they turn into attacking me I almost died but I did the animal control shout and turned the creature against her. They killed her then I let the wolves get killed by the bears as I healed myself then I finished the bears, it was quite epic. I really like when you fight one now it feels like you are fighting a force of nature.

I've seen about 6 or 7 in 260hrs. I am playing mainly as a hunter so I think I have pissed them off. I see them mainly in the groves.

I have seen around 5 in 70 hours.. al of them on the icy north coast. They have all been ridicously easy compared to the terrors I faced in Bloodmoon.

But none of them commanded any animals.

I can actually go pretty fast backwards. The trick is to kind of skip. Certainly it is unrealistic that in a life threatening situation, where dead is dead, that you wouldn't be able to backpedal backwards fast. This is more than a little off topic.

On topic, I've seen loads. Fus Roh Dahed 3 or 4 of them off a cliff in one cave. It depends where you look though. I have only run into 2 Hagravens, for example, and only one Wisp mother.

Three in moss mother cavern.

Three more in the Eldergleam sanctuary (if you do the relevant quest).

One in the tower near Falkreath.

I've met enough of them. They are very dangerous to lower level characters. Like ice wraith.
