Why are there no Thieves Guild followers? : V - Skyrim

That is the #1 reason why I wouldn't want one of them following me around. You never know who's feeling "ambitious".

Reminds me of testing J'zargo's scrolls in the mages guild.

There are so many other followers available that I wonder why you would need one from the Thieve's Guild. They wouldn't help you kill anyone, because they are thieves, not murders. Although I see your point, that at least you should have the option.
