How Are There Infinite Dragons? : V - Skyrim

Todd Howard specifically said the dragons will still be around after the main quest is done just they won't be as many as they were previously. With all the hype for skyrim going into dragons to completely remove them after completing the main quest seems like a terrible idea to me.

This may have been the devs' intention. However, I was harassed by more and more dragons after the end of the MQ. While they rarely attacked me in pairs during the MQ, most later dragon encounters were more and more often with 2 of them, and perhaps another one in close proximity.

This was some patches ago though, so maybe things have changed.

What if we made a big dragon to eat the little ones?

I think the random dragon ATTACKS should stop after completing the main quest.
Just have the dragons that have map icons re-spawn. But stay in their little area (around the word walls they are protecting) for those who complete the main quest early and still need dragon souls, scales, and bones.

It would make exploring more fun for those who've already killed over 200 dragons and are just tired of fighting them for no reason.
