Ebony vs Deadric armors

I can't believe you guys actually think Daedric looks bad, it looks [censored] bad-ass

You are kidding yourself if you think Daedric should look anything else. It was always the "ultimate evil armor" option in the elder scrolls games. It looked okay in Oblivion but it (like all the armor in that game) suffered from being too cylyndrically shaped. Morrowind's Daedric looked pretty bad-ass, and I think Skyrim's is one of the best in the series. Actually, the armor design is pretty great accross all fronts for Skyrim. The only one that really lacks IMO would be Dragonplate, which some would consider the "good" version of Daedric. Even then it still looks pretty good, but its very barbarian-like, so as such it wouldn't be too appealing to use for a paladin for example.

Though when I use armor, I don't do it purely to get the best stuff - I use whatever is good AND looks good the character I am playing. I'll for sure be using Daedric for my evil mage, though I might end up using a bad-ass set of robes instead :P

Ebony is a bit buggy from what I read online. Matching Set doesn't work with it. Seems a bit unclear whether Conditioning does or not.

I do think it is the best looking heavy armor set as well.

I do really dislike the look of Dragonbone and Daedric armor. I wish they had some alternate looks. I guess I'll find a mod for it when I get to using them.

Agree, Ebony looks better than Daedric, but I like the menacing look of the Daedric, so I give it to my follower. I personally use light armor (Nightingale).

Using Ebony armour at the moment, improved to superior. I'm also using the Ebony warhammer and it's a deadly combination.

For me it's not about looking "bad-ass" - it HAVE to look practical and something I can say "could happen" at. Personally I don't like much of the armors at all, as they don't appear feasible given the climate they're used in. Plated steed and ebony are my favorites on the heavy side, and plain fur, studded, or scaled on the light side. But, it's fantasy and I can stretch a little.

Personally I'd like to see a whole different approach to customizing, where you select what material to forge every bit of piece on that armor. I.e. lower studs (on a studded design) to be made of dwarven, linings to be made of wolf pelts, and so on. Where all bits and pieces adds up to different strengths and weaknesses of the complete piece. Don't think I'll ever see that in a TES game though.

Ebony >>> Daedra. You can easily hit the cap with Ebony and it looks better and isn't corrupted with the soul of a demon.

You have fought too many fools who think custom painted armor makes them professional.

Yes, I prefer armor that looks functional over having a bunch of fancy crap on it (that would undoubtedly catch blades). Some fancy stuff is fine as long as it maintains the functional look.
