How to level up quickly.

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:42 pm

Well I'm trying to make a god character. Im gonna give him the best items the best armor the best everything. I want him to be able to wipe out the strongest enemies without much trouble. But first I need to hit the level cap. I've gotten characters to pretty high levels before (65 was the highest) but those guys took effort and time to get them that high. Is there any ways to get really quick levels up? I know about the oghma infinium glitch and I plan to exploit that but is there any other way? I beating the crap out of hadvar right now in the bear cave but it's taking forever. I want to hit level 81 as fast as possible.

The Oghma Infinium is the quickest I would know how. Seems beating on your Imperial friend would be awful tedious.

Train every level. You can go to Riverwood and pick up that elf (can't remember his name off-hand) that trains in bows as a follower, and get your money back from him as you train. Same with some of the Companions (IIRC). Also, check the wikis that are out there - they all have levelling tips for each individual skill, and also list places to find skill books (many are unguarded in easy to reach places in cities) and skill boosts (some are simple to get).

Also, make sure you have at least a rested bonus every day by sleeping in a bed. Once you get a house, you can get the well-rested bonus. Skip the Lover's Stone and pick one of the three Standing Stones near Riverwood (Warrior, Mage, Thief) - those combine with the rested bonus, while the Lover's Stone doesn't.

And as the above poster (and the OP!) said, once you are high enough level for the Oghma quest, you can use that exploit to carry you the rest of the way.

Speed levelling isn't difficult, just really boring.

You're correct, you can do this for two-handed weapons, heavy armour, archery, and blocking using the Companions. It's a bit overpowering for characters like mine that focus on two-handed weaponry and heavy armour. The only training I've ever actually paid for is smithing.

Without PC stuff, I would suggest buying the soultrap spell and then spamming a dead animal/person with it until you hit 100. You can do it in a little over an hour or so. Take every perk up the left side of the tree being absolutelyt sure to grab the Twin Souls perk, plus the Adept, Expert, etc. perks. In an hour you'll have a character that's largely untouchable.

Do the same thing with Illusion and the Calm Spell. At some point you'll want to get the Pacify spell so it works faster. Just cast it on the angry chick at the Bee n' Barb over and over and over until you hit 100. That takes like an hour and a half.

With both: cast until you magicka's gone, then wait one hour; rinse and repeat until you're up 100. Not very fun, but it works.

Also, you can do the same Alteration and the Waterbreathing spell. Stand in the fountain near Dragonsreach and do it.

You should be able to Moonwalk backwards through any dungeon with those three things at 100.
