Skyrim Fail #139: Traps

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 9:43 pm

Seems that the traps are just not deadly enough on the lower difficulty settings, so they need rescaling against that difficulty slider, so instead of 5% - 80% damage based on slider (guessed numbers), they need to be more like 33% - 80%.
Plus, if any traps cause just a fixed value damage need to be changed to cause % damage, or a combination of both.

Must admit, some traps I've not seen, and I've taken minor damage from them, or been able to totally avoid it. Once encountered the Ram trap, thought "what, err, whats that noise?", turn around, see this ram falling down stopping inches from my face, as I was just slightly too far forward to be hit. I laughed.

Also, hide the trap activator objects based on a distance determined by your sneak skill would also help.
