Companions Questline.

Am I the only one that doesnt like the Companions questline? I mean I liked it. Its just it was so short , it felt like it had no effort put into it or it was rushed. I like the story arch of it , its just the shortness kind of turned me off from loving it like I love the Thieves Guild and Collage. And the Dark Brother Hood felt too long but it was long enough that it wasnt that bad.

Every faction was rushed, every faction was short. Dark Brotherhood felt long to you? I guess it would feel long if you're new to TES series (Not sure if you are), but Oblivion's faction questline lengths make Skyrim's look like a complete joke. Beth has alot to make up for in DLC.

On a side note, I really miss the Arena from Oblivion. Wish something like that was in Skyrim, but I guess it wouldn't make much sense.

And yes I am new to TES. And they were rushed? Collage and Thieves felt like time was taken on them.

It would've though. Not an official arena but something like Fight Club would've been AWESOME. Nords are known for their semi-barbaric ways of fighting after all. It would've made just as much sense as a Colosseum.

I honestly wasn't happy with any of the factions in this game. I assume they were rushed to get to the 11/11/11 release date, I don't know what other excuse they could have for such lack luster factions. Each faction you do something to join, you immediately get tossed into some huge ordeal that means the end of Skyrim or something huge, and next thing you know you're the Guild Master/Arch-Mage/Listener/Harbinger within like 5 hours of starting the quests.

In Oblivion, there was alot of depth in the factions. To join the Mage's Guild (Which is pretty much like the College of Winterhold in Cyrodiil), you had to do like 6 recommendation quests, JUST TO JOIN. The recommendation quests just to join the guild alone were longer than the entire College of Winterhold questline in Skyrim. It's pitiful.

Maybe something underground, but nothing like huge crowds of people paying to see death matches for amusemant that Oblivion had. I think something like The Pits from Spartacus: Blood and Sand would have been awesome for Skyrim.

Seroiusly? Wow then i would love to play Oblivion. I would easily get 200 hours played. I have around 100ish on my 72. And the underground Fight Club sounds cool. And i think it would make sense. Especially in like Windhelm with all the nords there. Maybe even a remote location in the wilderness.

I liked it, but I agree it was way way too short.

I agree.

The only faction questline I liked was the Dark Brotherhood (but it's too short.) But compared to Oblivion's, it's much shorter and at the end of the questline, you only get three/four people in the Dawnstar Sanctuary and it also comes with a repetitive radiant quest. Also the idea of an arena shouldn't have been scraqed as it's a good idea.

I felt all factions were short and half-assed, worst of them being the Thieves Guild, that to complete fully, you had to repeat a series of mundane radiant quests, to attain an average quest, and all this to get a slightly upgraded version of Thieve's Guild armour, and an amulet. Then thereafter you find that being Guildmaster is as mundane as the radiant quests, acquiring no duties that might accompany being leader of a guild. I worry that this sequence of radiant quests having to be completed before attaining a non-repetitive quest will be ever more common in later TES games.

Radiant Quests seemed like a good idea when they first explained it, but it gets repetitive fast. Radiants would be great if they didn't use it as a lazy way out of creating more quests. Imagine if Skyrim had the amount of Quests Oblivion had, on top of the Radiant Quests.

Re: the Companions: Are you kidding? Do a search, bro. You are not alone. Not only too short, and nowhere near as cool as the fighters' guilds of old, but the whole werewolf thing was very off-putting for many (myself included).
