Does anybody besides me play as imperial?

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 3:37 am

I play one, he's an unarmored swashbuckler. Basically, I wear no armor only clothing and mastered in one handed swords, sneak, speech and lockpicking. I sometimes use a dagger in my off hand but only for sneak attacks.

Overall, very fun build. Though, its definately challenging on master difficulty and dead is dead.

First character was an Imperial Warrior. Got him to the high 50s. As far as them looking "blah" - Nords, Bretons and Imperials pretty much share the same facial structure choices and color palettes in character creation, so if you hate one, you hate them all.

I play Redguard, but like the Imperials since they remind me of the Romans.

I`ll probably try them next.

Don't tell a Redguard that, though. After the White Gold Concordat Redguards and Imperials are so firm friends any more... :)

I've played as an Imperial. A Battlemage. Magic and Heavy armours. Works out pretty well.

When I'm playing pretty much every other race though, I find it pretty hard to justify siding with The Empire though.

I started an Imperial yesterday. Made her look as old as poss with white hair. I'll make her a heavy armoured mage with high speech.

My thief build is an Imperial. The idea of being able to steal more gold than other races really appealed to me.

I have 1 imperial character to which I quit playing because it got boring. Now I'm pure nords. I recently wanted to play as the car character but didn't like the appearance so I went back to being a nord, and guess who I joined up soon after? :)

I like imperials bc they're the anti reverse retro counter culture hipster mainstream thing to like. In essence, we hate them because they work for The Man. So I give them a chance. :(

I ussueally have a dilemma between imperials and dunmers (sprouting all the way back to morrowind). But right now im playing imperial nightblade type character. I was gonna choose dunmer but it wouldnt make alot of sense having a dunmer dovakiin. (dont be mad dunmer lovers, my nerevar was a dunmer) As for background, his father was a far too trusting nord who got involved with an imperial witch (remeber those naked nords on the side of vvardenfell roads?) After getting what she wanted she killed the nord and raised their son (my charcter) But i doubt anyone cares about my bio. Cheers for being imperial like me. Good for the empire, good for all, eh citizen?

Technically speaking, you couldn't be a Dunmer in Morrowind as you were still a foreigner and every single dragonborn was either a Nord or a descendant of a Nord (assuming that every Septim was a dragonborn)

Yep. I tend to base all of my characters off of people from the ASoIaF series (well, loosely) and Imperials fit the best. Also doesn't help that I find the other human races with the exceptions of Redguards to be ugly as hell.

First character was the typical "hi, I`m a Zakk Wylde look-alike nord swordsman"...but second char just for fun turned out to become an imperial female light-armor-battlemage, and is slowly but surely turning into my new main char. Groovy looking chick with prod buttocks facepaint and 80`s hairdo. For the time being living in a nice little house in Whiterun together with Lydia and Mjoll.....and I guess I`ll stop there :)

I played an Imperial in Oblivion and I found it ok, but other characters were more fun. I prefer Nords for my warrior class and I prefer Elves for my magic class. Imperials are just a bit too boring.

I play as an Imperial at the moment... Thought it would be good to play as a battle mage. I combine swords with destruction magic. Random Stormcloak troops seem to hate me ;)

Imperial Battlemage - yes the presets are awful in CC but I managed to get my character looking reasonably like Ronan Dex (Stargate Atlantis). :)

I had an Imperial character once. He got into a rough situation with a dragon. He tried to best the dragon by throwing all the extra gold he had made at it. The dragon was not into shopping so it did not work. Then he tried to smooth talk the dragon with his voice of the emperor gift. The dragon didn't understand common so that did not work either.

His melted armour was send back to Cyrodil. There were no remains left to send back.

not entirely. the septims are dragon born due to the blood of akatosh flowin through there veins because of a deal tiber septim made with akatosh. the dragonborn we play is born with a soul of a dragon, its still dragon born just abit different.

I think Imperials are a little dull. I don't usually play a human race, but if I do I prefer Nords and Breton over Imperials. I also like the Redguard, would've been a fun roleplay if the Alik'r warriors had a more important role in Skyrim.

The races I've played in Skyrim are Nord, Khajiit, Argonian, Bosmer, Altmer and Orc.
