Healing

Is it just me that finds this spell incredibly useful? I use it pretty much exclusively for healing (unless I'm being majorly rocked) on all three of my characters, and have found it useful up to at least level 38. All I need to do is run off somewhere relatively safe for a few seconds and dual cast it and I'm good to go in combat again. In fact sometimes I don't even need to run off, I just switch to dual cast healing and fill back up while the enemy tries to whittle me back down ineffectively. I take the novice restoration perk and Regeneration and I'm healing a whole lot of HP for very little magicka. Considering it's one of the spells everybody starts with I wonder why it's so good. Is it just me? Does it actually svck and I don't realize it?

Playing on easy difficulties usually makes enemies unable to kill you while you are healing yourself.. Try doing that on master.

I find that hard to believe. The enemies deal less damage to you per second than you are able to heal, while they are a feet away and attacking you? On expert? If that is so, then yes, it's too powerful.

Some, not all. Bandits and their ilk, mostly. Draugrs too. Generally if laughing in their face isn't viable I just run off for a quick maybe five seconds to heal instead and I'm good to go.

It's mildly useful for me. I don't put any perks into restoration so I don't use it often. If I remember to use it and I'm out of potions I'll usually run off and use it. I'm sure if I had a character that specialized in Restoration it would be extremely useful. But I can't bring myself to make one, maybe some day.

im playing on expert , and this's the only healing skill i use .
but i got killed "20 times plus" ...
@OP counting on this skill would be risky sometimes , its better to start using "fast healing" or "Close wounds"

On Master Mode. It's useless. I've tried it. The only way to beat the game on that mode is by exploiting.

Everything but dragons can be beaten on master difficulty using stealth.

I can't tell if this is serious or a bad joke. . .

Many people, myself included, have dead is dead Master playthroughs that have finished all major story arcs without using stealth, enchanting, smithing, or alchemy. I went a little further with mine and didn't purchase any items from vendors.

I found that once I got up to Close Wounds and Grand Healing (?) I prefer to use them for the one off hit...but then again my play style is pretty much 'shock and awe' style combat.

Grand healing is imho the most useful spell ever, heal yourself and your allies or followers, can't go wrong. Then again, I play a Healer character, so what else would I use?
