It's a crock of [censored] because that was the first game to make me ask myself, "why is it that every 20 or so seconds I have to go OUT OF THE GAME to pull out a weapon or some device i've engineered?"
I suspect someone has already told you this, but on the PC there are eight hotkeys, just put something in your favorites menu and when you open it up hover your mouse over it and hit a key between one and eight. This will let you quickly switch between weapons, spells, shouts, powers, et cetera.
I read an article where HE of all people tried to tell US how the console is better for gaming(lol.) It's just mindboggling, I mean it's better to make money on console because a lot of people arn't in to the computer due to it's complexity but give me a break. It's stuff like this that is going to rally up newer designers with vendetta's(lol nerdy i know.)
Looking forward to discussing some other issues and thoughts.... Mainly I just want to know why the game is so limited in terms of keybindings on the PC? Also why do they KEEP porting these [censored] console versions to the PC? RAGE was a good game (i'm a huge Quake fan so i'm a little biased) but I mean just look at the hud for your weapon/device selections.... ONLY FOUR SLOTS? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, GEE I WONDER WHY? *coughconsolecontrollercough*
A constructive complaint about limited control options would have been fine, but console-bashing is not. I myself don't play on consoles and gamepads are my number one reason - and I too don't like how its limited controls of PC games. But railing on a specific platform is unconstructive, inflammatory, and inappropriate.
I mean Bethesda started off on the PC, now they buy out In Demand (id software) and turn John Carmack in to some console puppet?
Their name isn't In Demand. While there's a rumor that's what "id" stands for all official comment on this has stated it's a reference to id, ego, and superego. If it was an acronym it would also presumably be pronounced "eye dee," but it isn't.
