Losing enthusiasm for Skyrim

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 6:03 pm

I personally cannot get into it, I don't know why. It feels very shallow and boring. but I keep restarting characters trying to find excitement and so I never complete more than half the map and havent completed the main quest nor half the guild ones.
yes... this is my problem also. I think I am going to force myself to stick with one character and enjoy the game than switching characters every day

Such a red flag...

Kingdoms of Amalur comes out soon and has Ken Rolston from Morrowind and Oblivion as a lead designer, the demo was pretty fun maybe you should try that for awhile (it's a completely different style of RPG) and then you can come back to Skyrim with a fresh look on it.

It's been said many times that Skyrim is like a large, beautiful lake. But when you jump in, it's only ankle deep. Sure it's fun to paddle around in but it will always lack depth.

I must admit, I've been playing Skyrim less and less. My reasoning is my new computer. All of sudden Morrowind and Oblivion are being reborn as I learn to use and make mods. The problem then is that Vanilla Skyrim has glaring holes in. Alas we haven't had years to fix Skyrim that we've had for the other games, so it'll be a while until the really good mods hit.

If it weren't for mods I'm sure I'd still be playing Skyrim almost non stop. It's just that nodded Oblivion/Morrowind is more rewarding than Vanilla Skyrim. Skyrim is still one of the best games ever made though. We just get spoiled by Bethesda and the nodding community.

I have sadly, started to not play Skyrim as much :(. I dont know what to do to make my love for Skyrim big again. Do you guys have any tips for me to regain my love for Skyrim? Should I make a new person? Should I try a different playing style? I dont know what happend I just stopped playing Skyrim and I cant bring myself to take it out and play it again...

strict roleplaying of a pre-planned character, at all costs, no matter what. no reloads on unwanted results.
pick majors and minors. no "cheating" during combat.

do nothing that doesn't fit your character: quests, towns, people, merchants, roads, wildlife, etc.

So what are they doing there? Did they have issues with Skyrim?

I`m looking forward to seeing if their creation is closer to Morrowind.

This makes me want to play Skyrim even less.

If you are going to do this, you might as well just play Dungeons & Dragons.

Go play something medicore for a while, CoD: MW 473,265,9003 is pretty mediocre.

Then you'll start to appreciate and love Skyrim again.

WOW!

Perfect description. I haven't completed Skyrim yet but I'm going to play through Mass Effect 1 & 2 in preparation for ME3 and then might play something else like Batman. I need to wait a couple of months for mods. It's unbearable to play at the minute... just running around killing things and looting for pointless feeling quests. God I can't bring myself to load the game up.
