Who at Bethesda is naming these items?

Best random items is Borderlands by far. Millions of items but easy to tell exactly what they are and what they do.

Yeah I loved Borderlands system. You never know what you are going to get....Rocket Launcher Shotgun......

Just got myself a pair of "STEEL GAUNTLETS OF MAJOR SURE GRIP"

LUCKY! how dare you scorn your major sure grip! i've been looking for another item with that generic named enchantment for so long, and i'm afraid to disenchant my ring or sure grip 40%

And i do agree with you, i wish they would have thrown out some blades of the inferno, or bow of storms

The way the world is going I will be seriously unsurprised if the next generation of RPG's doesn't feature items like Staff Of WTF Dudeness.
Yep,

I think the Gauntlets of Major Sure Grip have extra rubber on the palms to keep you from accidentally letting your weapongo flying.

And I hate, hate the potion naming system. Especially after I've downed 15 potions of weak healing just to find I've got a potion of extra-special super-dooooper healing that would have worked much better.

Haha, boy you said a mouthful. I fear you may be right, though. I can see Bethesda doing something that insipid and vacuous.

Just got myself a pair of "STEEL GAUNTLETS OF MAJOR SURE GRIP"

I think they hired the guy from Baldur's Gate that named the special weapons "Longsword +1" and "Axe +2"

That's better than calling them "mastvrbator's Steel Guantlets."

If you think that is badly named, I just picked up the Elven Boots of Vigor and the catch was it was actually Gilded Armour.
