I Hope Bethesda decides to hire this person to be a bard in

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 10:36 pm

People who can't critique a song without commenting about "schoolboy testosterone" and "teenage horny type" and "pig-faced", are clearly too overwhelmed by personal issues to be capable of listening objectively.

My mother, who associates good singing with the Sound of Music, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and operatic-style voices, was impressed enough with the subject's rendition of the Dragonborn Comes to say that she sounds nice. Mom doesn't care for the song, though. I suppose she is just a teenage horny type loaded with schoolboy testosterone who has a thing for the singer's pig-faced cuteness.
So you're the one singing, eh? Look, I don't think you're bad. I just don't understand why everyone assumes you're popular based on looks. You're average to slightly below average.

Lol gotta love this kind of threads. People calling each other teenagers, horny, illiterate in music and so on. It's all about personal taste you don't have to study engineering to prefer a car over another. I for one don't like this girl singing and that's all, I don't want her in the game.

But

This one should definitely be in the next game as a cave troll bard!

It only shows the immaturity of the people doing it. It is all a difference of opinion. I personally felt her song and voice felt perfect for the game and I wanted her as a bard in the game in a mod immediately. I don't mind people who disagree. They should just do it in a respectful manner. Though I don't even bother disagreeing with other mods. Why should I? There are many benefits of mods. Tailoring your game experience to your liking is one of them. If you want to listen to 90's pop while you play Skyrim. More power to you. Whatever makes the game more interesting and fun for the player. It does not mess with my game in anyway. So why should I even care. So all you haters have nothing to worry about. So everyone is happy in the end! :)

They should get Eric Clapton to be a bard in a DLC
If Eric Clapton had ever, from his own initiative and love of Skyrim, borrowed a song from the game and shared his own likable rendition of it on the Internet, then a lot of people might be begging Bethesda to add him as DLC too.

Just get him to re-record the Unplugged album on a lute

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEHsYziSuJs&feature=related Lara and Taylor playing the Morrowind and Skyrim themes. Posted this one a few weeks ago, but since we're talking covers again, why not. And yes, I've also seen a few posts featuring this woman. She's okay, but not great. I certainly wont bash her like some, though. Actually, as I'm typing this, I listened to Age of Aggression. Nowhere near as good as Dragonborn Comes. But I will agree, there is way too much echo effect.
The girl in the OP's comment does indeed show no singing talent. If she has got one then she is not showing it. It is even hard to say if she can carry a tune, because of the sound effects. What I do see, or rather hear, is that she has got a talent for sound effects. This, too, is a talent. The reason why some now make a big deal out of it is beyond me. Maybe they have a talent for drama.

Never thought about the sound effects... so she is cheating and with her voice like many advertisings do with Photoshopping. Thats low.

This again?

She's pretty good. I could never sing like that (if I were a woman, that is), but she's not that great.

People hype her because she looks all right, sings all right, but more importantly, sings about their game. It's the gamer's wet dream.

While I wish her all the best, I honestly do not want some Enya clone in Skyrim.

This woman is an imperial Thalmor loving puppet! So far she hasn't done anything regarding to Ulfric stormcloak! Shame on her!
