Theres that, and how daggers are not inked to one handed weapons when you use enchantments or potions to increase damage, there is numerous things that they just overlooked. Or ignored.

Isn't the Ebony Blade (or another 2-hander) classified as a 1-hander as far as perks goes too?

Doesn't the matching armor perk, under heavy armor, not include ebony as well? It seems that the game doesn't like ebony weapons or armor.

I wish we could remove all perks and choose perks again.

I wish we could remove all perks and choose perks again.

That would render character development totally redundant.

I agree. Re-spec'ing characters was a popular feature in Dragon Age, and I don't see why Bethesda can't include it in a future dlc or expansion.

Especially finding out afterwards that purchased perks are bugged or don't work as intended, it would be nice to take that perk point and spend it elsewhere.

Well, sort of.

Some of the bugs in this game aren't even really bugs. They're just sloppy and unfinished game mechanics.

There's one rule that applies to any game that can receive a patch:

If the bug gives players a major advantage, it'll be fixed. If it gives players a disadvantage and doesn't crash the game, then it's "working as intended" or will be fixed soon*.

* Implies that a fix is only being discussed and may or may not be implemented in the immediate future and that no commitment to actually apply said fix is implied fully or in part by the first party to the second party.

The Ebony Blade's damage and critical hit chance are based on your one-handed skill and perks, but its power attacks are based on your two-handed perks. I'm not sure if it awards one-handed or two-handed experience, however.

The Headsman's Axe has the same problem.

Even if they fix this it propably wont affect saved games so.......No wander why everyone says master is too easy.
On the contrary, that's the kind of problem that a patch CAN save because it's not related to the game world but to gameplay mechanics.

They can, but will they? They don't have a very good track record for patching things like this. There are at least four or five other perks that are bugged. Hope they all get patched but am not holding my breath.

Bugged perks (along with too many potions) is my main peeve with this game now.

Deflect + ancient knowledge and I'm indesctructible with any old armor.

Beth did fix some hardware related problems, then some quest glitch/bugs but they did not feel the need to fix this! Amazing. Now i feel like i want to start over again just so i wont be wasting perks on something as broken as this.
Now that i think about it, im going to spend next ten hours of my life in UESPwiki to check out what works and what does not work and then start a new character.

it's great when u have to spend significant time researching bugs in a game before u play it (or be prepared to suffer the consequences).
