Remember when you would fight sheogorath out of turn in oblivion? You got teleported to 1000 feet in the air. They would mess you up bad

Dude, they'll most likely melt your brains from the inside before you even touch them.

Kill them, are you mad? Think of all their followers you'd upset, the mob would be after you.

You defeated
Spoiler
Jyggalag in Oblivion and became a Daedric Prince
I don't really think they will go down that road again as what more could you want?

DLC will likely be a large section of a province and Thalmor related. Hell it could even be an entire province... I'm almost certain it will be Summerset Isles.

Daedric Princes are basically Immortal, how could you defeat them? Martin had to sacrifice himself to finish that battle and he did not defeat Mehrunes Dagon, he merely banished him.

The best we could do I think in a game related DLC is be involved in some Political Squabble between the Princes that spills into our plane of existence. But, that would be Oblivion all over again.

You'd have to be Sotha Sil AND Almalexia at the same time to fight a Daedric Prince on an equal footing. The two of them banished Dagon, but Ayem was bed-ridden for quite a while afterwards. That's saying something, considering that she was a goddess and the Heart was not yet fully in the hands of Dagoth Ur.

You fighting a Daedra Prince is kind of like a single ant fighting you. They aren't all-powerful or all-knowing, but they ARE gods. They command every aspect of their realms. And when they breach Mundus, they still bring immense power to bear. Certainly more than you could muster even at level 81.

Fortunately, most Princes don't give enough crap about you or your affairs to fight you. They are like a huge guy at the bar who would have a beer with you if you bought it, and would just laugh if you tried to threaten him. Then of course the huge guy gets drunk and wrecks the entire bar. In case of Dagon, anyway.
