Ugh @ stupid shopkeeper schedules!

It's also annoying (for me at least) to trek back from a dungeon or quest to the nearest city to sell all my loot only to find the shops closed for the night!

Never wait so insist on finding a bed for the night, lie in till 9 - 10 ish. Breakfast of mead and whatevers on offer in the tavern. Then off shopping. Consequently a lot of my travelling is done uring the day.

You missed the point. They should be closed for the night. Thats realistic and I like that. But they shouldnt be shut in the middle of the day though, that was my problem.

That`s exactly how I see it and a nice touch too. But I suppose if people whine enough even this will be dumbed down. heck, they might even go back to Morrowind where everyone stood around waiting just for you.

I wish. Standing around for an NPC in a single player game is annoying. There's nothing "Real Life" about it. These NPCs live an entire day in about what? 30 or so real life minutes. If I play for several hours, that means my Avatar hasn't slept in weeks. Some may like it, but I find it very unreal and beyond annoying.
