Dragons fierce or wimps ?

Dragons are pretty tough at higher levels if your gear is not maxed out. Try using steel arrows and a good Imperial or Hunting bow. The fights can be pretty epic and cover alot of ground as other creatures and people become involved in the tussle (depending where you're located)

It's really in how you play.... I RP alot.... my character only uses certain weapons and armors for RP reasons... other characters I've played for the "fun" of it had maxed out weapons and could dispatch Dragons in a couple of blows without taking any damage herself.

I use resilient dragons. I began to be disillusioned when I saw dragons getting killed to trolls. Now they are a bit hardier, and you want to be prepared for a fight and not surprised.

The fearsome thing about Dragons is their bite. On higher level difficulties and less that huge levels they can kill your character with on bite.

If you can avoid the bite it's just a matter of wearing them down. Unfortunately since Dragons are so common in the game it pretty much has to be that way. If Dragons were rare I suppose they could be more fearsome.

Right now most Dragons are just very annoying. Actually one of my least liked features of the game. Particularly when they fly around and don't attack your character, or don't even seem to notice your character. My character is like "Here I am Dragon! Over here! Please come attack me so I could kill you!" but the dragon just flies around ignoring the Dovakin for game hours.

i actually LOVE that. One time even I was in Dawnstar, the dragon swoops down and lands on a building. Looks around, doesn't see me, and then peaces. Its like he was sent to get me.

Errrm, deadly dragons is good, but Resilient dragons i find is much better... reduces NPC damage etc

its on steamworkshop and nexus

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10591

DD is good but does too much and doesn't make it harder.

Resilient dragons gives dragons more health, making it longer and more epic fighting.... reduces damage NPC's do to dragons.. meaning no longer will a farmer/mudcrab/bear/wolf manage to kil la dragon.

plus DD is alot more buggy and problematic and i don't like some of the "added" extras in DD

Ehhh, you do realize that not only does DD give Dragons higher health, but it actually gives them better Resists and an Armor Rating too. Higher end Dragons have 500+ Armor, almost Armor Capped. Dragons get new Shouts too, and new Breath types for various Dragons. Alduin has around 8,000 Health, is Armor Capped, has good Resists, regens health slowly, and can not only use his usual shouts + Unrelenting Force and Disarm, but also MARKED FOR DEATH! By and far, DD makes Dragons much stronger and tougher than Resilient Dragons does.
Here's a Lvl 50 Nord Paladin with a pretty good build and a follower along with Odahviing taking 23+ minutes to kill a Blood Dragon and a new "Wyrm".

The guy lists his char's description in the Info, and even with 70% Resist Magic, you can see the Steam Breath just devour his health. The Frost Breath doesn't hurt him much though, since he does have 70% Resist Magic and 50% Resist Frost.

or you could mod em?

Nah no point, they're boring. Until they fix the Nav-paths and the nasty animations of them walking around like an old man with undercrackers full of .... I'll stop here ^_^

its not a competition, its personal preference.... i prefer Resi... because its more vanilla friendly... DD adds more dragons and gives them extra powers like metiors etc, isnt my cup of tea.. sorry

I don't think he was trying to one up you there mate, I think he was just trying to say the DD makes the dragon's more deadly than in RD. Either way, any mod that makes dragon's more deadly is progress for me lol...

I admit, as you level up dragons aren't that tough. But i want simple fun.... And a on an xbox.... The challenge fro me is the damn controller! I miss the kb/mouse!

However, I feel as you get to the higher levels, you expect battles to be easier. When I was a level 10, things were much tougher, at level 62.... well everyone knows how that gets.

or turn the difficulty up
This, I play on master with 200 health, dragon breath kill me in one hit unless I use an resist frost+ fire potion, melee from them usually kill me in one hit.

Dragon attack pattern is random enough to be interesting, some fly around breath fire even land then fly off again, other drop on top of you and kills you other again get distracted by wildlife letting you pump them full of arrows.

No it's not, it really is not. That might have been amazing AI 5 years ago, when they first started making the game. What kind of idiot at development decided dragons can only use 1 shout?
