Let's say I fast travel once an hour. What am I missing? It doesn't make sense to say that you gain something by never fast traveling.

You probably are not missing anything (although random encounters can be fun). But if I did that I would be missing something. A sense of connection with the past. I would have a "How did I get here?" moment of broken imersion and it would take a while to get back into it.

recently created a new character (well very similar to my main characters) that will not utilize the fast-travel (which is very usable should I say!). I do have to say that it is really fun! It adds this level of immersion into the game that a normal character would miss. Just think of the beautiful views of the landscape and the funny random encounters!

Anyway I greatly encourage you people to also do such a character

I fast travel but i only when i have high amount of invent when my invent low i take to the roads till i see a field then i go off road and wreak havok ans scale mountains
