Your Character's Voice

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 4:21 pm

I guess I'd picture one of my Nords having a scandi accent, but kind of like a barely detectable one. Like some actors. Stellan Skarsgard comes to mind (or maybe even Dolph Lundgren...he looks like a bearded Dolph in Johnny Mnemonic). My character had Nord family, but he's not from Skyrim.

I think they should have added a selection of voices for your character. After all, everyone else speaks - granted much is repeated, but....

Having your character voice their lines might be good - I don't know.

I do curse my followers regularly.... and there is the sarcasm I employ from time to time. But I only voice out my lines in my head as if I were reading a book.

That's a lot of work, considering the race options. Look at ME2 or DA2. One race option. You got three personalities (Aggressive, Funny, Diplomatic), two genders.. and it's still a ton of lines. Here, it'd be a nightmare.

I think my characters voice would sound like gilbert godfrey. j/k I don't know if he has a voice but I do know I find myself talking back to the game, swearing and threatening to kill my house carl in whiterun.

Well, my vampire character, Draken, sounds more like a creepier version of the actor, Sam Witwer. Even before I heard of the actor, I always pictured my character's voice like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndG3bYC1pt4&t=2m11sand http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxZtlQszkcw&t=4m35s Since he's hotheaded and impulsive, it works perfectly.

My female vampire, Raven, matched the voice of Azula from the Last Airbender.

My Imperial werewolf, Kraven Desselius, is male is a "matcho man" of sorts. He looks more like a native american indian, with tan skin, long hair and chin shape. But his voice is not boyish. Think of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ik-_E7P2uqA&t=0m50s

My female werewolf Bounty Hunter has a woman's voice, obviously. But it's often scornful and full of venom with every sentance. Still got to find an actress that matches her voice.

One of my characters had the voice of G.I.R. from Invader Zim.

When he used Dragonrend, i just heard "You gonna make biscuits!? You gonna make biscuits!? You gonna make BISCUITS!?" to drive his targets insane.

Lol

I Like to shout at the screen "by azura by azura by azura"
My Dunmer uses all of their native insults.

Azura curse you.
You little fetcher.
Filthy swit.
You N'wah.
Your a traiter to your own race.
Then there is the one more out of suspicion. "sniiiiiiiiiiiiif" I think its amusing when they take that deep sniff when you walk by them.

I'd imagine it being like a kid in NWN 2 said about a character "The girl who sounds like a sneeze." :lmao: I can't make such voice, so she, and i, shall remain silent.

My guy sounds like Samuel L Jackson

"GIMMIE MY MONEY POUCH! ITS THE ONE THAT SAYS BAD MOTHER $%#$ER"

Then I re-enact my battles jumping around my apartment with sound effects like CHING, WHOOSH, HYAAAA!

I imagine my character as a mute, always having a quill and piece of paper ready if he needs to speak to people.
