because finding daedric chest with like 50 hp enchanted is useless
because as long as we're working with hyperbole, by that point you can make something god-like on your own

As the OP knows, it's not the reward that matters but the entire process until you find the lockbox/chest.

The Whiterun treasure map is the only one I bothered to find with one character. I have another character that is collecting the maps and after he has all 10 (has 5 now) I was going to have him find them all at the same time.

Not true, I've taken advantage of the chest with two play throughs and she spawns just fine for me, the trick for the stuff in the chest is
Spoiler
you have to stand in front of her while she's there and wait two days then ask her what she has for sale to check her inventory to make sure her money re-spawned.Then back out of the menu and return to the chest and loot... repeat process as needed.

Spoiler
Never knew that. Pretty good discovery!

Too bad the world map isn't more like the treasure maps. Would actually look like something an adventurer would use and give an actual item for quest givers to "I'll mark it on your map" with. Though I'm fine with the 3d.

The treasure maps are a nice addition to the game though.

And yet we still have people complaining that they can't see roads. The complaints the complaints about this game are so inconsistent it's hilarious.

"Treasure Map" chests are the only places I've ever found Daedric Armor. While I've had some crappy ones, I am pretty sure they have a relatively high predisposition to not svck.

I felt equally happy when I did the master destruction ritual spell resisting the urge to look online for help, took a good 30 minutes at least.

This goes about a little story of my skyrim life which shows how awesome this game is

Last night I was playing skyrim, and I thought about it that I still have an treasure map in my inventory.

So I opened it and I looked at it. It didnt make any sense to me though.
I noticed that it had an stable icon and a farm icon. Still didnt make any sense to me.

So I clicked the map away. And to my suprise I saw that a farm was right beside me. So I started searching to where this treasure could be. But I came to the conclusion that it isnt the right farm. So I opened the map again, and I saw it showed 2 small letters, WR!

I remembered I still have that big map which you get from when you purchase skyrim. And I took the map in real life, and started searching if there is a city or any other place which has the initials WR. And I found it, White River. So I went there searching for some place which looks like the mini treasure map. Unfortunatly I didnt find any.

This dissapointing didnt let me down very long though, because when I opened the map again my eyes noticed WhiteRun.
Wont spoil any further but after a while I found a large chest at the same spot the treasure map showed me.

I was so freakin happy in real life as well as ingame.

This is 1 of the small details that this game makes so unbelievable good. The pleasure you get from this game makes me want to play 24/7
Hey man, keep in mind that there are ten treasure maps in Skyrim, labeled by Roman Numerals.

I know an even better method.

Spoiler
This isn't just for her either, this works with every merchant in Skyrim. Save in the same cell as a merchant, kill them, then reload, and their inventory and gold stock will be reset. This method also works with quicksaves and quickloads on the PC. I like this method because I am an avid role-player, and you don't have to pass in-game time this way.
