What do you think about a Friendly Fire Toggle?

Proving Honor? Ugh, how many times did I hear Farkas saying "Watch it, brother!"?

I just did that quest recently and I heard that so many times.

We can't have toggles for every possible feature in the game. I expect the next "toggle" thread is going to ask us if we want a toogle to toggle every feature of and on. There has to be a limit to how many features a game can toggle. At some point we just have to acept the game and play it, or move on.

Of course we can. id like them to do this in 1.6.

I modded the Imperial guard with a simple script "sifh" I'm wondering if it's the same with the CK...

A toggle feature is the easiest way to please people and I believe the most viable way to deal with it, although my ideal concept is something based on the general difficulty of game, lets say from novice where there is no friendly fire at all to adept with half damage and master for full friendly damage fire.

Toggles like this are... stupid. Friendly fire is just part of the game, deal with it. Toggling such a thing would turn magic into an aoe spell spam fest because there wouldn't be any consequences for your follower caught in the line of fire.

What we really need (but will probably never get, besides through eventual mods I guess) is advanced follower interaction. Like being able to order your follower to stay behind you instead of charging right at the enemy. Or being able to tell them to use only ranged or only melee combat.

I was just wondering what you think of the idea of having a friendly fire toggle. It may not stop the fact that your follower or others get in the way but at least it won't damage them or cause them to become hostile.

I think no. Strategy is part of the fun. It’s hard to avoid hitting followers, and I don’t want to make the game easier.

It's one of the factors you need to take into account. If you had a sword and were slaughtering your enemies with your friend, you wouldn't say 'oh, and you aren't allowed to get hurt if I hit you with my sword' to your friend!
If he was dumb enough to walk in front of where I am swinging my sword he would be far too stupid to be a friend of mine. Anyone that dumb in real life deserves what they get.
