That I can hunt for deer hours on end and not get bored.

Just realized how easily entertained I am. No wonder I love this game!

Also: hunting with chain lightning and det. Life> bow and arrow :P

I can't make a list of what I like about Skyrim, because I like everything about Skyrim.

Literally. There isn't a single thing about the game that I dislike.

The feeling I get when I stop to pick an alchemy ingredient and listen to the background music while observing scenery that even rivals what see with my own eyes at times. And then out ROARRR!! and the music changes, becoming fast paced. My enemy rises over the hill in the distance. I draw back my bow and..... who cares I'm the DOVAHKIIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Archery is my favorite. I like the bows, the archery perks (I recently hit 100 and can't wait to pick the big daddy perk), I even like the accomplished sound of a critical. Being an archer is so [censored] rewarding in this game. I wish they added crafting arrows in a future expansion.

*I love being able to stand by most bodies of water and watch Dartwing's flitter about.
* That catching birds startled out of trees doesn't happen every two seconds.
* The fact that in the Morning as the sun rises here in RL and the birds start to sing, I can't really tell the difference between them and the ones singing in Skyrim.
* That the weather changes over time.
* The Aroura's, I never get tired of watching them. ( not something I see in the Southern U.S.)
*** lets just say the attention to detail in the world that makes it feel like a world.

These thing's are probably why after 900+ hr's I still have not discovered "every place" on the map. I stop and stare at the scenery alittle to much!!

Oh and Dragon's! I love watching the dragon's fly through the air, even when they do goofy things.

#1 Freedom to create your own narrative and play it how you want

#2 The amount of detail that's gone into the world.

#3 Being constantly surprised by the seemingly endless amount of things that can happen

#4 The atmospherics - weather, music and scenery

#5 character growth and even follower growth.

+ loads more...love it!

#6 The seemingly almost unlimited ability to fully customise and update the gameplay and graphics to whatever your imagination wants!

Shield bashing. Nothing like bashing a skeever with my shield as its running up to me only to go flying in the other direction. Hee hee.

Bow bashing. Very cool and i love doing it just before loading up an arrow during close combat. Finally makes fighting with a bow at close range believable.

The buetiful waterfalls.

The buetiful moon which looks like some magnificent game box cover art from a 1990s Psygnosis game like Shadow Of The Beast etc. Just look at that barbaric epicness-

Being able to disarm traps separately from lockpicking chests open.

Decapitation as a perk and having to build up ones skill to get it.

The intricate full of surprises design of Dwemer ruins and their mechanical inhabitants. The steam and heating effects as well how the freezing cold wind is blowing in at the entrance of Dwemer ruins.

The evil of the Falmer.

Being able to create any character i want with any skills i want.

The buetiful powderlike snow.

Potions and poisons.

The weight limit and not coming to a complete stand still when carrying too much.

Cowls. Fur gauntlets or gloves the exact name has slipped my mind at the moment.

Trees and fallen trees which look very natural.

The npcs which keep to themselves in isolated out of the way areas. Brings back memories of coming across friendly hermits in cabins far away from civilization in Tes 2 Daggerfall.

Shadows from enemies which give plenty of dramatic effect.

Visual effects of spells.

The vast wilderness view as i watch from a high mountain cliff and how the wildlife blends in so well.

Plant life.

Disease and how it effects the player just enough to make a difference.
