How come no Bound Shield?

Did Legolas use a shield?
Other than to slide, of course. An archer, a REAL archer, uses the bow - and nothing else. At your level, you're fighting stuff too powerful to be taken down with feeble 1H skills. What's your sneak?
I'm pretty sure "the eye of the beholder" anology can be used here. Its not hurting you any if he calls himself an arcane archer no matter what skills he chooses/uses. :shakehead:

I'm wondering what an arcane archer is doing with a shield in the first place. Last I checked bows are two handed, which means you're using a 1H weapon. Which means you're not an archer. Which means your not an arcane archer.
Some say this game does not have a class system, but I feel it does.
You wanna bash with a shield, and cast spells? You gotta be a spell sword.
Focus on ranged combat with magic and archery? Better learn to sneak and duck into shadows.
They say "you can do anything with one character" but that's not true, and more importantly, nor should it be.

I do believe that it is true, that one can do anything in the game. However, where you decide to put your perks, is what you will really make your character into. The perks are the key as to how you specialize one toon from another toon.

Too much brightness? I can barely see with two swords up much less a giant glowing shield. Maybe it's my monitor but bound weapons in dark areas are blinding. I still use the bow but sometimes it's hard to make out my target.

It does? I'm curious now, I need to go find that spell ...

And on-topic: Bethesda cut down the 'bound' set into just the basic weapon types: one handed (sword) two handed (battleaxe) and archery (bow). I'd have liked a larger variety, but I'm sure Bethesda have their reasons.

First, i would love a bound shield spell like in OB.

And I'm pretty sure you can make your character however you want (minus the bound sheild)
IMO an "archer" is just someone who specilizes in archery. That to me doesnt mean they ct be maybe a ranger ( illusion, alchemy and 1H) or a summoner that instead of using destruction may use a bow/bound bow.

I think the skills/perks let us create a class one step at a time.

I was looking forward to dual summonings but since I'm getting a PC today I'm going to need to start over anyways. Where is UPS?

Lucky you!! That means yous can play Dark Souls WITH all the extra content. As an Xbox gamer I'm getting crapped on and just about done with it, forever. I can't decide if I'm going to come right back to Skyrim, or try getting a perfect on all the Mass Effects, though. I'm leaning towards Skryim.

I'm pretty sure "the eye of the beholder" anology can be used here. Its not hurting you any if he calls himself an arcane archer no matter what skills he chooses/uses. :shakehead:

I take offence to him being allowed to have an opinion, while I am not. You svck.
