I propose that Bethesda Software should bring back the notion of the Shivering Isles! That they should design an entirely new world mass (with similiar look and feel to the old idea they had)
This could easily be written into the story as the continuation of the old story line. That the new Lord/God of the realm in Oblivion has lived for the 300ish years in that world. That the land has greatly prospered and flourished. That it is much bigger now, and there are extremely large cities. The two halves have grown more separate, and split the entire landmass in half; to the point of devastation. Leaving the "save the day" Dragon Born to step in, and repair the now shattered land.

The sad truth of the matter is that, while I LOVE Skyrim in all its glory, after experiencing such a vibrant world in Oblivion....... I now find myself being left wanting. Feeling as though Skyrim itself simply cannot feel as wonderfully immersive as it could or should. Skyrim strongly NEEDS that wonderfully immersive atmosphere that is so completely alien to the common rabble one. The world of generic grey armors, brown trees, barking dogs, and oddly immortal children.
I feel a sense of let down. Like a child who was hoping for a bicycle, but only getting clothes for their birthday.
