...Right! NO cheese for ANY of you!
Really. I'm...actually, should I be offended? Or overjoyed...?
Ooh, ooh! I know! A MELON! Yes! That's perfect!

No, wait, was it melons, or was it fish pie? Hmm, pie...
What was I saying again? WAIT! Nobody move! I dropped me fish stick!

...Are you still here? Go on, away with ya!

(Pst, Sheogorath is awesome, and I defy you to not read the above in his voice )

I still miss the way they sounded in OBV...very otherworldly because of the double-voice thing, and how they always referred to you as "mortal". *worship*

Iunno. I originally had Skyrim in German, and as I recall, his voice was x1000 times cooler in German.

There, at the 4 minute mark.

Come to think of it, the german voices sounded better than the english ones as a whole, ironically... Should probably switch it back.
Man, everything sounds better in German. It's such a fantastic language.

I love Paarthurnax's voice, it's so relaxing.

Most of the Daedra's voices annoy me tbh. But has anyone noticed how badass Dremoras sound? I love hearing them yell before slicing a bandit in half.

lolwat

Here I expected a "he only sounds better cuz germans r good at sounding evil," but despite being relieved I didn't hear that, I can't help but wonder "wtf are you thinking" when you call it a fantastic language.

As Charles V once said, "I speak Spanish to God, Italian to women, French to men, and German to my horse." As a dual citizen (USA-Germany), I have to say that I'm permanently barred from ever dating German women and typically only date russian and turkish women here, as the tone of the average German woman sounds too similar to the tone of the average American male for my tastes.

Molag Bals voice was sixy. The corrupt, rapist ass-hole jerk-off that is Molag Bal was definely depicted. Now, Haeramus Mora(whatever the hell his name is spelt) is annoying. I had to do a boring, long and annoying quest for him and he still slows things down with his voice. "Come bask....in....my...presence.....I am...Hearmaeus....mooooraaa.

-_- Like seriously dude?

This right here, this is exactly how I feel. Molag Bal's voice was about as perfect as they could get it. Hermaeus Mora, jesus [censored] I was like shut the heck up dude your voice svcks so bad. It sounds so boring and a little like he is gay, not that there is anything wrong with that.

He's so over dramatic (hermaeus mora.)
Takes him like a full min to finish one word, which he usually finshes with a lisp.. Which he then drags on for another two mins. Eurgh -_-

"Bring me his soooouuullllllaaahhhh!" way too long. It's almost comical. Every time I play through that part, I go around the house for two days going soooouuullllllaaahhhh. It's like a ad jingle that gets stuck in your head.

Hahaha I know that feeling. Ever since my gf watches me play more and more things are starting to irritate me that I haven't noticed before. Like, I share stuff with Lydia and my gf's like "I'm swoooooorn to carry your burdeeeen blaaah blaaaah". I didn't even notice it much, now it irritates the living crap out of me. XD Now we're walking around the house quoting peple and acting like we're [censored]. XD

EDIT: Apparently "mentally challenged" is censored, even though the R word is official term, not sure why that's censored and moron and idiot aren't but ok. Next thing you know people won't be able to say they are gay.

I agree, they're all pretty similar In that respect.

Meridia being the exception, as she's more 'Good' I guess.
I love Meridia's voice. At first it annoyed me, because it seemed like she was going for the generic 'I am a mystical Daedra! Wooooooo!' voice, but then I realised that it wasn't just the voice actor going for that - it was Meridia. The Daedra Prince herself was trying to make herself out to be all magical and mystical, and just failing :P

Besmirching her divine name would probably cause you to be suspended in space a thousand feet above the ground.

The issue I have with the voice acting in Skyrim is when they have an actor like Michael Gough doing 62 voices, many of which are characters living in the same town. Two actors do all of the Orc voices. Two actors do all of the Dark Elves. Same with the Khajits and the Argonians. Then you have several other actors doing a dozen or more voices each. I know there will be excuses for this regarding their budget constraints but honestly they could, and should, do better. Considering how often these NPC's are flapping their lips it gets really old hearin the same voices all the time.

Yeah, Skyrim was better than Oblivion in that respect (Don't have an Orc talking to a Nord...in the exact same voice O_o) but I really hope the next TES game gets a LOT more voice actors. Like, enough to make it a rarity to hear the same voice actor, rather than the norm.

I don't know much about recording voices and the process they have to go through but isn't there some kind of post processing they could do to change how the voice sounds without making it sound computerized. The main issue is that so many of the NPC's sound exactly the same. If they could just tweak the voice somehow to make it sound different it would help.

I think the problem is more that, apparently, NONE of the voice actors know how to do different types of voice or put on accents. I mean, seriously, is it only the British who find putting accents on easy? =/
