Ok no bugs or freezes. Then ALL of this happens at once.

can anyone tell me why games end up doing this? whenever a game patch is released, it fixes the broken subject but then breaks something else in the game. the same happened to battlefield 3 and now that game is getting patch after patch because something breaks after each patch
The reason is when you have so many many codes for a game this size and you change some others will get mucked up so it just really isnt possible to fix a game this size with so many different running codes to keep it working

You might wanna put this in the tech forum, you might be able to get some better answers, if there are any.

Other than that, what's this about X-Box 360's being designed to degrade?

Made in China? idk for sure, but with every console I have ever had since 2000, they have broken after ~3 years or so.

OP says he just bought his though, so I would take it back (game too) and stick with the one you had on PS3 if they both lag like crap

Well I guess I'm in a somewhat similar boat as the OP now, although different issues.

For as many playthroughs as I've had in this game, the bugs that I've encountered have been minor. But now, in my most recent game, as well as the one before it, the bugs are coming out of the wood works.

After having no problems to speak of for the longest time, all recently I have now experienced my first quest breaking bug, with Forsworn Conspiracy, with an Imperial Legion soldier spawning in the Shrine of Talos instead of the Markarth guard, making the quest impossible to complete; "jumpy" animations; a very crappy framerate when going through Fellglow Keep (College of Winterhold quest); Elemental Fury sound bug (the "wind" sound effect hits an infinite loop, and doesn't shut off. I needed to load a prior save to get it to stop. Even shutting the game off and restarting didn't help); and now, finally, the atomic glowing Nirnroot, which I didn't even know what people were talking about in regards to that until today, and then of course I experience it.

Meh.

I play pure vanilla now. Bethesdas patches are made in Hell.
Well this made me lol because patch 1.2 or 1.3 broke ny enemy and plant respawns, but I share your sentiments on this Skyrims patches have been belched right from the bowls of Hell.

Now you can be a voice to Bethesda on their bugged game. Welcome to the fold.
