I name mine depending upon what I enchant them with. I usually use a simple prefix: Sturdy for stuff that enhances health or stamina in some way, Comfortable for stuff that aids carry weight, Mage's for stuff that adds magicka or reduces spell cost, Warrior's for 1H, 2H or Block enchantments, that sort of thing. For weapons, I generally do the same: Shocking, Flaming, Icy, Bloody (for absorb health), Scary (for Fear and Banish), etc. However, early-game items usually get a suffix instead (Ring of the Mule, Necklace of the Firewalker, etc).
I save the 'good' names for my top-of-the-line stuff (like what LimeSheep said about 'artifact-y' names).
If I'm enchanting follower's gear, I use their name as a prefix (Benor's Gloves, Jenassa's Bow, etc).
