I can't believe so many hunt these things, you all are either the bravest souls I've ever met or completely insane. I only hunt helpless creatures I can kill like deer, foxes and goats. If I see a dragon I try to hide. If it sees me I run as fast as I can to the nearest settlement and let the brave guardsmen take them on.

Turn the difficulty down then. I always play on Novice, not because I find the other difficulties particularly challenging just because I despise dying. It totally ruins the immersion for me.
