Character backstorys, you got one?

I never really put much thought into a backstory, but I like thinking that my Argonian character (I can't bring myself to play any other race) was part of a family in Black Marsh that fought the Dumner or at least went into Morrowind after Vvardenfell erupted to get revenge on the Dumner , went to Cyrodiil later and then came to Skyrim afterwards. Honestly though, I never cared too much to RP for these games, I just enjoy being in them and letting my imagination roam free .

long story short, nord girl engaged to thalmor prince as an act of alligence ( in north cyrodil ) on her wedding night she finds out she is going ro be made an example of and used as a trophy wife and slave in summerset isles. so she runs away and makes it to the border of skyrim with minimal supplies left. just as a dragon flies overhead ( i rushed through the intro and went back to the border gate in the mountains.

Every character I have has a story.
I've gotten to where I really have a hard time playing any other way.

Same for me. I can't seem to justify my character not having a past and a personality anymore .

Current character is Nord mountain man who was adopted as a young baby and raised by a Bosmer, after his parents perished in the Aldmeri Dominion attack on Bravil in Cyrodiil during the Great War. He was left abandoned in the ensuing chaos. He grew to love the Elves and Elven things, in stark contrast to many other Nords. The subtle dislike between Nords and Elves troubles Fadril (he was given a traditional Bosmer name) His adoptive Bosmer father teaches him about the wilds, and shows him the art of archery. HIs strong Nord blood lends his hand to the War Axe as well. He makes a living as a free roaming hunter around Chorrol, mostly in the Colovian HIghlands and The Great Forest in his early advlthood. Eventually he becomes recognized locally as a skilled pursuer of game, and is officially hired by the Count as a royal huntsmen, hunting local deer and all sorts of other tasty wildlife for the Count's feasts. After several years, he grew bored of what he slowly began to consider a sedentary lifestyle (restless one, Fadril is), as he longed to see the world. He primarily feels a strange tug to his race's homeland, Skyrim. Fadril resigns as the Count's huntsmen to be an adventurer, hoping to travel to the far reaches of Nirn, and heads to Skyrim.

I do this to an unhealthy level....

Alaina is my Altmer Mage. She bears the mark of an Oblivion Gate on her forehead. In a past life, she was a high ranking member of the Thalmor. However, she objected to the attack on the Empire. She said that it would weaken the standing of Elves everywhere. In order to stop her from delaying the Thalmor agenda, a group of Thalmor Mages banished her soul to Oblivion. Her soul lived in the Planes for years. Eventually, she gained enough strength to occupy a body of a High Elf girl that was near death. When she occupied her body, the insignia of the Oblivion Gate was inscribed on her forehead. He purpose now is to wipe out the Thalmor. In order to stay hidden, she always has to wear a circlet. While she was a powerful Mage in her old body, her new form was untrained in the Arcane Arts. She went to the College of Winterhold to train. She was surprised to see a face from her past. Faralda. She was a deserter of the Thalmor and was hiding in Winterhold. Who better to train her. As Alaina trained, she also traveled Skyrim and disrupted Thalmor activities wherever she went. Her soul grew stronger. Eventually, she was able to project her soul into the mortal world. This is how she conjured things without training.
Over the next few months, she found an old organization that would be essential in wiping out the Thalmor. The Blades. She convinced them to aid her in her conquest. Throughout her journeys, Alaina had gained many followers. She convinced the Students of Winterhold, Daedric Worshipers, and local warriors to join the Blades.
After spending a number of years with the Blades and restoring their glory, she began to do serious work against the Thalmor. Alaina decided that she would have to get involved with the Civil War that was plaguing Skyrim. At first look, it would seem that the best side to Join would be the Stormcloaks. However, Alaina decided to do some digging. She infiltrated the Thalmor Embassy, and stole their files. She noticed that the Thalmor were not seeing the Empire as a threat. She also found out that UIlfric Stormcloak was listed as an Ally to to the Thalmor. Alaina decided right then that she would have to join the Empire, destroy the Stormcloaks, and convince the Empire to fight the Thalmor once more.
Alaina rose through the ranks quickly. After training at the College for two years, Alaina was nearly back at her full power. She was able to wipe out entire forts by herself, making her an invaluable resource. The Thalmor were seeing Alaina as a threat, but had not yet realized her true identity. Gotta love that circlet. They began to send the Dark Brotherhood after her. Alaina was very strong at this point, and was able to wipe out the Dark Brotherhood easily. As a bit of fun, she resurrected all the members of the Dark Brotherhood and had them attack the Thalmor Headquarters in Solitude. After killing a few of the high ranking members, she released control of them. All they found were notes that said, "Nice Try".
Alaina has now lived in Skyrim for three years. She is the leader of the College of Winterhold and the right hand of General Tullius. The Blades followe her command, and she is ready to lay seige to the Thalmor.

I love whoever read all of that. Which was no one probably.... Forever Unread :)

Glad to oblige. The sad part is, that is one of my less thought out characters...

That is the first time I have ever really written anything down, but as I play I am constantly thinking of why I am doing these things and what unsaid dialogue is taking place, if you catch my drift. The game can only take us so far.

My Altmer Mage, Taryn, is a traveling scholar. Born in Cyrodiil to two Altmer spies, who helped the Empire fight the Thalmor
from the inside on the Summerset Isle during the Great War. They moved to Cyrodiil after their cover was blown. Ever since,
they had been repeatedly harassed and attacked by Thalmor agents, which resulted in the death of Taryn's father while he protected
Taryn and his mother. Taryn, still a baby, was given up by his mother as she realised that the Thalmor would never stop chasing them
before both Taryn and herself were dead. Taryn grew up with a couple of traveling Bosmer scholars, and has travelled Tamriel ever
since, in search of his mother, who he has never heard from. On his way to Skyrim, Taryn was taken prisoner by a band of Stormcloaks,
solely due to the fact that he was a magic user AND an Elf to boot. That band of Stormcloaks later met up with Ulfric's escort.

My Imperial, Tiberius Principius, once a remorseless Penitus Oculatus agent, had been sent to Skyrim to disrupt the Thalmor's and the Stormcloaks'
operations, but had been told, that the Empire and the Penitus Oculatus, would completely disregard his existence and his involvement in anything
that might harm the relations with the Aldmeri Dominion and provoke another war. He had done this many times before in other provinces, and had
long since accepted the consequences of even the slightest mistake. He was used to working alone and completely incognito. This also meant that
not even the Legion would have any knowledge of his existence, let alone what he did. His plan was to cross the border hiding beneath the boards
of a merchant's carriage, however, the carriage was searched by the Legion for contraband, weapons and potential threats. Tiberius was discovered
by the unknowing Legion officers. He was knocked unconscious by a legionary and placed on a carriage without further questioning. This carriage
had Ulfric Stormcloak on it.

No RP for me it just becomes weird although roleplaying as the son of anise the necromancer granny or whataver she was would be cool.
