Faendal is not the sharpest tool in the shed

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 2:02 am

I traded Faendal for Lydia, I don't want him to get caught up and killed in some dungeon. I kindly let him go back to his life, Lydia however needs to protect me with her life she is trained for it. I just need to buy/smith her some better armour. What armour would suit her? I just had Benor killed by a dragon when I came into Dawnstar with Lydia, he is the best so far I have had on my first character. However since he is dead in my Khajiit 2nd character I will treat all followers as expendable. I use them mostly for carrying stuff, and for a distraction... then again an atronarch could do that just as well.

No idea why Vilkas would do that, though, if he's just standing there. Maybe he was sleepwalking and dreaming that Njada had him cornered in a broom closet and was trying to hit on him.

  I saw this just now and I can tell you, it's hard to eat lunch while laughing...

I had my Dark Brotherhood Initiate kill Faendal...

The last words he heard before her sword cut him in twain was: "Yes, Listener, as you command."

Haha, have the same thing happen to me, using the same mods. Marcurio goes "help!" or "I'm getting out of here!" then Ulfric goes All Caps rage on a poor skeever : “Do you want me to close my eyes? Would that even things up a bit?”

Lol, yeah, Follower Ulfric has... issues. Even before I had him as a follower, I "escorted" him all the way back to Windhelm from Solitude after the last CW battle, and watched in amusemant as he waded all the way across the River Yorgrim to kill... wait for it... a MUDCRAB on the opposite shore. "That'll teach you to cross me," he said, sheathing his weapon after handily dispatching the poor critter. What it did to cross him, I have no idea.

My favorite Follower Ulfric moment was when we were fighting the dragon on Mt. Anthor, or... the one up above Labyrinthian, not at Eldersblood but the other one right above the pass through the mountains there. Anyway, fighting a dragon, he's running around sniping it with ebony arrows and shouted it off course once which was awesome. I've already hit it with Marked For Death (only had one word of it, but still helps a lot). He does the great combat laugh that he does, then says, "You're losing a lot of blood... perhaps you should sit down for a moment." The dragon picks that EXACT moment to drop out of the sky and skid across the ground to a halt right in front of us. Awesome moment of awesome right there, I tell you what.

Every follower I've used does that at sometime or other. Marcurio said it immediately after we crawled out of Labryinthian barely alive. "Hey look an old Nordi ruin, I wonder what's inside?" (or something like that.) I know what was inside--a lot of dead undead that's what was inside. Now shut up.

Faendal is adorable if you like them big and dumb. :evil

Huhu. Well, he's very...passionate. And mudcrabs are horrible creatures! That dragon fight was really with awesome timing. Hehe, I sometimes let him take all the aggro and sit back just because of the comments he makes.

Hey, I think you can get this mod even with a not_top_of _the_range PC. I'm pretty sure it doesn't require heavy hardware.

****
O.T. I never had followers repeat that line after exiting from a previous visited dungeon.

I don't think she's got a PC that will run the game itself, is the problem. She plays on console only IIRC.

No, no. Different problem: We have 4 PCs in this home - 1. An old relic we could probably just throw away, 2. My husband's old laptop with a broken screen (and not really good enough for gaming anyway), 3. My husband's new laptop, that he uses at work, and 4. My mini-PC, that is great for browsing the internet, e-mailing, writing and such, but gaming - no.
So I'm stuck with the PS3 version until we can afford a shiny new PC (and I can talk husband into buying one ;)) And it's working fine, but dammit, I want mods!

Whops, sorry then. Here's hoping you'll get your shiny new PC so that you can join the Ulfric follower warpath! Among other things.

Yeah everyone thinks Faendal is the nice one, but if you talk to Faendal first he asks you to do the exact same thing Sven does.

I sacrificed Faendal to Boethiah after he reached the Archery training limit. Felt a little bad afterwards... Until I got my Ebony Mail armor.
