Thats why we need a way of sorting and organizing saves, like proposed on this thread:

Due to having a PS3 that doesn't have that many gigs to keep, I still am stupid enough to save a new save every five minutes. I've had this obsessive compulsion regarding saving too much ever since I was a little kid gaming. It drives my five year old nephew crazy sometimes because he wants to see me cut some heads off things in games like Darksiders, then every second, I'm saving my game.

TES games make this obsession not be as much there, luckily. I had over 100 saves for Oblivion once on my PS3. Now Pokemon, you bet I'm saving every few minutes at worst.

I think video games with save anywhere functions might have messed me up. I'm playing Ultima 4 currently and, yeah, that's right, I save after every battle. Every single fight with a low level monster while I grind results in another save! Not even the fact that saving in that games is considered a movement matters to me.

Only on about 300, only keep like 3 at a time and disable all autosaves other than travel.
