What if the vampires vs hunters is not the main quest of Daw

Is it that unlikely the Snow Elves are part of Dawnguard's MQ? They are after Elder Scrolls, perhaps one resides within the Snow Elf Prince's coffin.

Hi Press, to be hones there wasnt much new discovered at E3. Little was shown from Dawnguard, the whole vampire Lord section was filmed in riverwood, and he Soul Cairn was shown a lot in the trailer. My impressions of all of the E3 interviews that Todd had alot to hide. He kept saying there is a lot of content in it though we actually didnt see much.

Hi again.

I see your point. But if you go back in time and recal E3 2011, you'll realize he used the same strategy with SKyrim. Did a lot of unpredicted stuff end up in the vanilla game? I don't think so. It just doesn't make sense from a marketing point of view, I think.

BTW Anyone knows Jyggalag's month ?

It is unknown as any who worshipped him is now deador perhaps they changed along with their lord; Just as the Orsimer Changed with the destruction of Trimimac who became Malacath in the Bowels of Boethiah. It is possible his worshippers had changed, not in body, but in mind.

If we take a page from New Vegas DLC its possible each skyrim DLC will contain hints of The Snow Prince the same way the New Vegas DLC contain hints of Ulyssess. Or considering he's been dead sense the first era and the Falmar barely resemble the snow elves. So his importance in the 4th Era would be less then nothing. I think The Snow Prince is a side quest in the Soul Carin

The snow princes remains are on the island of Solstheim.

I think there will be some snowelf sidequests to test how the players like it. Maybe its like this first DLC adds crossbows becuase its a "vampire hunter weapon", and spears will come with the 2nd DLC because its one of the main snow elf weapons.

nice theory , but in the lore, Spears are the main Argonian Weapons (and then they remove spears after Morrowind gods know why q-)
and the Falmer who are Snow elves (f*cked up but anyway q-) uses bows and Sword + Shield as their main weapons, i believe their weapon mastery hasn't changed even after they become that filthy monsters xP

Its written in one of the books about Falmer, that their main weapons before the mutation were spear's, frost magic and bow's. The Snow elf prince used a spear as his main weapon.

Anyone know how long the Volkihar vampire chain has been around, could it be possible that Lord Harkon and his lot are all snow elves that have survived due to their vampirism?

That's what I was thinking too, maybe some snow elves and the Prince survived the dwarven inslavement by becoming vampires? Maybe the snow prince was the first vampire lord? We can keep guessing all day.

The Snow Prince is dead according to current lore. It's possible the file for "SnowElfPrince" is not a NPC, but a body, and his tomb is a location in the DLC.

the "Main qestline" doesnt dominate every corner of skyrim it has its own quest borders like all the other factions and civil war and i think dawnguard will be a new civil war, 2 almost
symetrical questlines with an ending that affects skyrim in different ways like the civil way, i mean beth are hardly gonna throw everything about dragonborn hero save the nords down the crapper now are they? it will still be the main focus of skyrim's lore but these new quests will be on the side dish of the skyrim plate.

with any other faction you just go up and say "hows it going, im here to be awesome and become leader in the nest hour or two" but for these two you have to hear rumors to find hidden fortresses to go to outer word places, I just think its a bit squeezed in.

I liked the idea that the Snow Prince would end up being a spirit in the soul cairn that makes more sense. He would probably talk to you and tell you his life story or something like that.

The snow elf prince will be the key to either defeating the darkness or unleashing it.

I also thought about this because of the whole dragon diving through the ice and todd said that was about something else you get to see in the DLC. Who knows tho

you bring up a fair point 4skirym, todd did seem to suggust that there is more to the dlc than dawnguard and vampire lord. But i doubt the main quest is anything but the fight between dawnguard and vampire. Maybe there is a lot of side quest missions or something?? Of course I would love to be surprised with a snow elf main quest, but it doesnt seem likely since they did not advertise the dlc as such. who knows though, anything is possible but we will have to wait and see.
