Destructoid review what u think?

So many Skyrim [censored]. A true fan would acknowledge the flaws with Skyrim, as described in the review. Admit it, Skyrim doesn't have superb animations, combat, or 3rd person view, so I don't see how some of you think the reviewer is stupid for pointing out these obvious problems with the game.

Who said I didn't play the game they reviewed? Because I did. And I completely disagreed with it. They said the game was a " sad excuse " due to it's " rushed graphics " and the animations were " clunky ". That doesn't make a game bad. I've seen other reviews by them with the same stuff pointed out. Video games are suppose to be fun. Not a Michael Bay film. The graphics don't REALLY matter, gaming industries are worrying way too much on that crap.

Sure, those things don't inherently make a game "bad", especially a game like Skyrim which is focused more on exploration and immersion. However, the things they pointed out are quite valid if you just compared the combat in Skyrim to any other modern RPG...

I wasn't talking about their review on Dawnguard. I was saying I didn't like how they went about their reviews and then gave an example as to why. Which was not relating to this game. Done, don't feel like arguing over my opinion. Really.

You feel they are stupid and know nothing about games. They have played Dawnguard while you have not. If you do not wish to discuss your opinion, I have no idea why you would post it on a public internet forum. OT, I think most new animations look quite ugly and so do most models and effects, some of which are borderline tacky. As for gameplay features, what I would've liked to have learned is the balance or lack thereof between the two factions, their powers and abilities, something on which the reviewer failed to report.

Doesn't complement stealth? You can still sneak as a level 4 vampire, then transform if you get caught and cornered. It's not something you do all the time, it's an option to transform, with pros and cons.

I never care about any single review or opinion. That's why I like sites like gamerankings, they combine all the reviews to give a much better look at how good a game is. Some sites love to write controversial reviews, it's good for site hits.

I had some concerns regarding this DLC, which actually are pointed in this "review".

Animations wise: Beth isn't very good in this department since animations are always clunky and generally bad in ES games but, fortunately, in Skyrim this was vastly improved and overall they were decent. The vampire lord animations seen from footage provided were ok in most part, walking and melee attacks were nice, the hovering one where he flaps his "wings" is good (when he can glide through water which I presume is the sprinting equivalent) but the one where he hovers slowly (the one where you can use spells) looked so bad...

Regarding transformation I will assume it will be just like werewolves, meaning the transformation from human to werewolf/vampire lord looks badass, lots of screen effects and visual clutter with proper animation but then to revert back it will be just PUFF! You're human again, no screen effects, no animation...

I loved the first time I played werewolf and the transformation was badass but as soon as I reverted back I laughed my ass off. Really Beth? How could you overlook something like that? It looks like you didn't even bother to cover up that.
One of my wishes for DLC would be a fix for that, a proper animation when you revert back to human form but from what I'm seeing/hearing the chances of that happening will be slim.

The last thing is balance: the game is so unbalanced in every possible way. The crafting, the various playstyles (mage, archer, warrior, thief, etc), the absurd amount of exploits and glitches...But, on a positive note, they are improving werewolves, they were so lackluster in late game but now they are getting some love but still...they are now introducing a new element which, from the looks of it, will be extremely unbalanced.
Hopefully with the beta they will make sure to balance vampire lords and werewolves accordingly and iron out some bugs.

Despite that it looks interesting and I will try it out.
