NPCs fight the dragon back! frustrating! :-(

Thats why I try to remember to save before every dragon fight. But I still think its hilarious to watch these poor citizens fight for their homes and get eaten and tossed like the garbage they are in the process.

What they should do is that in every dragon fight all citizens should flee to the nearest building and stay there until the dragon fight is over.

Rely? I've had this happen in other cities, but not Falkreath.

Yesterday I was in Falkreath and a Dragon attacked. The Guard yelled 'everyone, get inside!' and they all did. Dragon killed, no casualties. Then all of the people came out of their houses to stare at me absorb the dragons soul.

But in places like Dawnstar and Morthal, I've lost some citizens who were bravely defending their homes.

Are you sure? I have never heard of this happening anywhere. Or are you using some kind of mod?

Yeah, it makes no sense why every farmer and blacksmith in the area thinks that rushing into battle with an iron dagger and no armor against an ancient dragon is a good idea. They should RUN, they know they don't stand a chance... Another one of the reasons that I avoid the main quest at all costs.

Yep, it definitely happened. And as a PS3 player, I'm 99% sure it wasn't a mod ;)

Riverwood seems to be the favourite spawning spot for dragons in my games. Gerdur and co sure do love their dragon killing.

I've seen both people running for their lives, as well as diving into close combat with a fork.
Most of the time, it makes sense. A Dragon appeared ohtside of Solitude, guards attacked, peasants fled, the Khajiit traders were undecided (weapons drawn, getting closer, then running off, then coming back to watch :D ) and all of a sudden, Beirand (the blacksmith) came out of the city and joined the fight with a mace.

Same with Riverwood. People were screaming and running off, but after a Dragon breath hit Dorthe, Sigrid got mad and attacked the Dragon with a rusty iron dagger :D

Never had that 'Everybody get inside' tough
