Basic Bosmer Build

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 12:06 pm

I was just wondering if anyone had any improvements or critiques they have about this build of mine: http://skyrimcalculator.com/#138024

I went with the basic archer/assassin type thing.

It's not showing any archery perks.
You only really need one perk in stealth.

First thing I would change is lose some of those base sneak perks and matching set, and take muffle, unhindered and wind walker. Remember those criticals don't add a lot of extra damage, I take them in one handed but that's more rp than effectiveness.

Archery (11)-
Overdraw 5/5
Eagle Eye
Steady Hand 2/2
Critical Shot 2/3
Power Shot
Get rid of Critical Shot, take Quick Shot.

One Handed (9)-
Armsman 5/5
Bladesman 2/3
Dual Flurry 1/2
Dual Savagery
Get rid of Bladesman, take Fighting Stance and Savage Strike.

Light Armor (7)-
Agile Defender 5/5
Custom Fit
Matching Set
Wind Walker is worth taking if you happen to have some spare perks.

Sneak (8)-
Stealth 5/5
Backstab
Deadly Aim
Assassin's Blade
Take only 1 in Stealth.

The reason I advised not to take any critical strike perks is that they're calculated from the base damage of your weapon and they give less extra damage than other perks will give. Especially in One-handed, you need all the power you can get in a single strike - that's why Savage Strike is so much more valuable.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I can't change all the perks listed as I'm already leve 40, but most of the ones suggested are ones I can still take. :3

I was going to take Bladesman mostly for RP, to firmly establish that I use swords and daggers. But I'll definitely take fighting stance and savage strike.

Your build is still very effective :) I had very similar on my archer, but with Conjuration instead of One-handed.

If you're already level 40, then you're probably the best judge of your character's strengths and weaknesses. If you feel the need to improve certain area, then take additional perks - not just because someone on the forum told you to ;)
