There's heavy traffic right now, so that might have something to do with it.

The Creation Kit should only show up in the tools section for folks that have a purchased copy of the game.

Go to Library.
Next to the search should be a dropdown menu with "All Games".
Click "All Games" and change it to "Tools"
Creation Kit should be near the top, but you can filter with the search box.
Right click Creation Kit and choose install.

People who don't have it yet shouldn't panic, it's probably that you are using a server that hasn't had it uploaded yet, Steam have many servers and they can't upload to them all at once

Im sick and tired (I stayed up all night waiting for this) so I may just wait til later to try and take it over there, appreciate the trys

I have Skyrim activated in steam and the kit is not showing up. I suppose I'll just wait a little bit then and see if the problem resolves itself when everybody on earth isn't downloading the thing. (Wish I could just download the thing)

Edit:Just thought I'd clarify that just because my problem is resolved doesn't mean Steam is less of a piece of garbage that I would do away with the instant Skyrim didn't need the activation from it.

We get it you hate Steam. Now go play all your Steam dependent properties instead of taking a real stand.

Just found it. Called simply 'Creation Kit', no Elder Scrolls CK or Skyrim CK

That's a grand total of: Skyrim
