Sorry dude, just trying to calm the babbling mob before pitchforks are wielded.

Jumping the gun a bit as there weren't any pitchforks in this thread until you decided to get all technical on us. There was a simple question from a fellow player and some comments on how it would be nice to have better communication. Let the conversation degrade a bit more before jumping in to calm the masses.

Outside of that...Peace.

Ok, clearly you don't understand my point. I was trying to belay the angry shouts of ragehate, before they started. Basically helping a thread remain intelligent.

I shall not try next time. Thanks for your input though :)

You just went over most peoples heads... It would have been simpler (and less confrontational) to say "All.. Beth PLANNED to have something out this week, but as we all know Plans are never a definate".

With that said...I finally upgraded to Win7 x64 and 8gb of RAM (from 2 GB).... and I cant tell you how much the performance improved. I dont even have the stutters outside anymore.... I was pausing like every 2 min in outdoor areas to load data. Now I dont pause at all that I can see.

I cant wait for this svcker to be LAA....my goodness thats gonna be nice.

Oh please. I'm 30+ and not a child so please don't play petty semantics with me. There's just no need to get my panties in a bunch over the intricacies of "planning" over "promised"

Exactly what i was thinking

Canned. Microsoft felt it would give the PC version an unfair edge over the Xbox version, so they told Bethesda they weren't allowed to release it. Same with DX11.

Whatever. You're intellectual capacities are obviously so far beyond ours that you were able to foresee the coming of ragehate into this thread so you decided to insult the babbling mob before that could happen. Nice job.

It seems I'm the only one here who can read actual English. I'm sorry if you all prefer to add in your own versions as you read, but the man said planning. That means they basically decided to work on something and have a rough deadline.

The entire post implies informality.

Now if Gstaff had posted:

"Guys we promise that by close of business next week you'll have your official laa patch"

Then it would be a different story. I'm done with this post. If you're happy crying over a (laughable) broken non-promise, then go right ahead. I'm going to be a grown up, and try and help some folks with their pc issues.

I'd be careful calling it a "fix". Not sure it's going to fix much.

For 40+ you are acting 12. Being over 40 myself I fully understand the difference between planning and promising as well as putting words in other people (organizations) mouth, that isn't semantics that is a gulf of a difference. Guess some folks never do mature.

You obviously missed the point, which was that no one in this thread was complaining about a promise being broken or whether or not it was simply planned for. There was a honest question, a couple of answers, and a couple of comments about communication. Period. There simply was no need to come into the thread and belittle others with elitist insults. But hey, even that has its defenders.

I'm done. Take care and have fun.

You can be done all you like but let us review what the OP of the thread said.

Bethesda promised LAA thingy to our .exe this week, have we got it??

I have not seen any updated on Steam at least :|

So much fail in your post I will leave it to expose itself.

You don't have to be a "fan boy" to be here. Example, my admiration for Todd Howard doesn't forbid me from criticizing him and his direction of the company.

You are all missing the point.

Bethesda promised to release a game on 11-11-11 because they found that a fun date. But instead releasing a working game... they released a piece of junk for alot PC gamers.

So no matter what they are promissing now ... they already lost credibillity with a lot of people. So quit pointing fingers at eachother and calling eachother names, and unity against the cause ...

I already have my pitchfork out.

Could someone please explain why a LAA is needed?

I've obviously heard a lot about how the LAA patch has helped people to not crash, and that's awesome of course!

Here is my confusion though, I've been monitoring the memory usage of the TESV.exe process, and I've never seen it go above 1.2 GB, so no where near the 2 GB limit.
This is without any mods though, so I could see a 2GB memory limit being a problem with lots of mods installed.
Please don't get me wrong, I'm in full support of Bethesda making the LAA patch official, but I'm just trying to understand why the lack of it, is causing crashes.

You just answered it yourself. For some ppl it works, for some not. For some it is a magic wand, for some not.

I guess the game just seems to break on several issues mixed with OS GPU and RAM,... I myself serious doubt an LAA would fix all isssues. The number of complaints in this forum are just to high and varied for a memory issue to be the cause of it all.

I am sure they testdrove the original puppy before releasing it into wilds,... and they thus saw no need for it back then.

My issues are not even related to memory .. so a LAA patch wont help me.

Might help some .. but imho ... prob wont solve all issues anyway. ... They just need to do lots more serious bug testing.

And get a better PR guy.

Yeah, my confusion comes from how the LAA patch is expected to fix all issues, even for the people who doesn't run with any mods at all.

The LAA is obviously a great thing for the future of Skyrim on the PC, to allow us to run with even more mods!

Personally, I have expected crashes every few hours or so, nothing that really annoys me, takes less than 30 seconds to load the game back up. I just have to remember to save often :D
But since my TESV.exe never takes anywhere near 2 GB memory, I doubt the patch will fix my crashes, but we'll see.

I'm posting on a forum with issues in the title.

If you do a briast cancer walk, are you a fan of briast cancer? If you call a suicide hotline, are you a fan of suicide? If you call the fire department, are you a fan of arsonists?

Good demonstration of fan boy logic welshguy.

Don't most mods just take more vram though? Not sure what system RAM has do do with it.

A topic that deteriorates into personal attacks gets closed. Some of you expect others to listen and take posts seriously when there is obviously an inability to express oneself civilly and constructively?
