Custom EffectShader

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 11:11 am

Basically what I am trying to do is create an effectshader that makes my statue npc look like it's made of dwemer metal. I had a go last night by making a new effect shader, loading the vanilla texture for dwemer ingots in the relevant spot, then started playing around with different blending combinations, but all that kept happening was my npc looking black every time.

Can anybody explain the correct way I should be setting this up?

I am wondering about effectshaders too. I'll be taking a look at it in a little bit so I will send you any info I find.

Cheers mate, I'm gunna be diving into the ck in a minute so I'll do the same. The thing that is making it annoying to figure this out is the need to go in and out of the game to try each setting out. I might quickly put together a test.esp that allows me to try multiple setting combinations in one game

i tried working with this when i wanted to make a different colored spell. Was not successful. I don't know why. But what was different for me was that the spell was the same color it normally was (a modified version of flames)
