Depends on class but I think putting enough into speech to get invest everyone should do, it makes it so river wood trader has 11k gold. Other then that it depends on character.

Sneaking, because it makes you virtually invisible to all enemies at level 100.

Depends on your play style, and if you're going to play with rules. All around usefulness would fall under the crafting skills-- but if you max out all 3 crafts you might find the game to be boringly easy, even on Master difficulty.

Mhmm.

If I had to pick skills that were the LEAST useful I would say Pickpocketing, speech, and lockpicking... as far as perks go at least.

Every thing else just depends on your build/playstyle.

Depends on what you want your build to be.

They all have their own usefulness.

Are you nuts?

Speech: increase vendors gold is huge plus
Lock picking: double amount of gold and treasure hunter

I agree with pick pocket although I do use the skill that let's me carry another 100 pounds

I spent 20 lvls training my lock picking in order to get treasure hunter.

Coincidentally they are also the only 3 things that allow your character to scale and they do it well. Too well? Yes. With respect to the content, they trivialize the game. Unfortunately, there is no gray area if you want to progress your character and itemization, you have to take these. For all intents and purposes, you are more or less forced to pick up Enchanting and Alchemy as a pure caster due to how terrible Magicka is in Skyrim.

The most useful? I would have to go with Alchemy as it will allow you to artificially raise your other skills and gives you unlimited health, stamina and magic. I think my next play through that is not a DiD character will not use any potions at all.

The quickest magic to raise is probably Illusion if you just play the game, there are tricks of course to raise the other ones.

Conj and illusion are easiest to lvl.

Best perk heads down is slow time in block. Usable by two handed one handed and shield. Absolutely life saving.
