I still find postings like this thread extremely disturbing. That whole "my wife can't be trusted to be alone with another guy" thing is what I'd expect from some Taliban perhaps, but not from people predominantly from the western hemisphere.

Two things I can tell by reading this.

1. Your a female.
2. You ARE cheating and are afraid of the consequences that we are mentioning.

Teehee. Yes, I am constantly cheating my non-existent partner with my oncologists and other doctors. After all, I tend to spend quite some time with these guys all alone in a room quite often.

Anyway, threads like this prove massive issues of parts of the male gamer population to me, which are still very disturbing. Essentially it's some sort of inferiority complex, combined with the paranoid notion that all females are promiscuous. The latter is actually utmost bizarre, considering that most of the people who think that Camilla or Mjoll are cheating on their PC run around with a scantily clad female follower and probably 2 forsworn ravagers in their default bikini outfits. But if the wife NPC dares to have something like a social life in the form of visits of an old friend, then it's all time to scream bloody murder.

So I keep seeing faendal around in windhelm, so I followed him until he went Into my house. He then sat down and started spouting about how he feels for her... I think I should lure him into a dragons den.
Btw my wife is Camilla.

She is a Merchant right? Where else do you think she gets rabbit meat?

I doubt she goes out there and kills rabbits herself so I think Faendal might be her supplier when it comes to rabbit meat.

the funny part is she thinks this is a serious thread. I obviously know my wife isn't cheating on me because its a game and not real life. Andnif you cant recognize that, please just stay off the Internet.

Do what any sane person would do.Kill fendal. Take a massive life insurance policy on camilla, kill her, fake your own death after laundering the cash, and live the rest of your days out on a warm tropical island off the coast of valenwood, with hot woodelf bikini girls feeding you fruit and coconut milk, as you lounge in the sun and relax to the sound of the waves, the whole time wondering 'why did I ever take that cheating [censored] as my wife in the first place, and why did I ever decide to live in such a cold, awful place like skyrim in the first place?".

Genious!

3. You take things too seriously & are a sixist that picks out flaws in men.

My point exactly.

snip

thanks for your completely irrelevant addition to this discussion!

as for that dude showing up, iirc he's programmed to follow camilla around and this isnt removed if you marry her and move her off elsewhere

so hes just gonna keep showing up until he gets an accident somewhere along the way

Actually, I totally agree with Lytha here.

And if Camilla is cheating on her husband, it might have to do with the fact that he insists of running around adventuring (not taking her with him), coming home just to get some food, the money from from the shop and spend a night or two to get some... Lover's comfort I believe they call it ;) and then he's off again, and she's alone.

And there comes Faendal, someone she already knows and cares about, spending time with her, being a shoulder to cry on, proving his feelings for her hasn't changed...

Dovahkiin, be a man! Let your wife have one of you're houses and a life of her own! Show the world how a true hero acts! ;)

My Skyrim relationship advice, (In the raspy voice of that Whiterun merchant): Get friendly with Temba Wide-Arms! All she needs is ten bear pelts.

Sooo... you are agreeing that actions in video games and jokes on the internet reveal "a startling truth about male gamers"?

Yes my Ex wife did screw around on me. That's why she is the ex. If you don't like the fact I'll do something about it in a game when it's "inplied" you are even more delusional than she was when I cought her.
And now: back to your previously sceduled rantings.

It is called ROLE PLAYING, that's what an RPG is. You use your imagination, create whatever story you want, no harm done. Saying all males think their real wives cheat on them, is contradicting, and just idiotic. I for one, do not run around with any female followers in game, or males either for that matter, and certainly don't wish to play out in any sixual fantasies with a 3D animated character. Do not assume all men are only interested in six, or accusing their wives of cheating. The stereotype that makes women think this, obviously is the reason they marry jerks in the first place, because they are too clueless to see that there are good guys out there.

This is also clearly not a serious topic, they are purposely trying to make some laughs, no harm done. The world shall continue to spin round. Thank you, and goodnight. Stay classy San Diego.

I agree with joking about killing your wife (albeit an imaginary wife married to an imaginary character) really isn't that funny if you think about what those jokes actually say between the lines: your wife is your property, you decide who she gets to see, and she can't be trusted to be alone with other men.

Of course this most likely is unintentional. I'm sure the ones posting in this thread has a sound and decent view on relations between men and women in real life. But if you're joking about things like these, don't be surprised if someone - especially a woman, since the jokes imply male ownership of women - takes offence.

Just a word of advice :)

haha the jermy kyle show WOOT WOOT!

and i do coincide that most male players do have something of an obsession with making their female followers walk around with neigh- on nothing on XD , and yes that IS a bit disturbing ...( i know the graphics are good but really?)

I kill half of whiterun when I exit the bannered mare without getting a bounty letter, and not wanting to reload again. Sooo... its really nothing personal.
Having Aerin or faendal chilling at the house exceeds the firecode. I mean you have housecarl, wife, wife's male friend, current companion, and myself.
That is alot for a small house in whiterun. If i can eliminate one from hanging out there, all the better. Im not ready to ditch my follower, wife, or
housecarl, so... wife's ex-boyfriend will have to go.
