Make This Game Seem More Realistic by Adding...

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 6:41 am

As I have been saying for many years now, and I shall continue to in the future. Authority/Rewards for actions.
2 Examples:
Oblivion: Save the world from the worst invasion of daedra thus far. Reward: Dapper set of armor, nothing more.
Skyrim: Kill Alduin, The World Destroyer. Reward: Shout that lets to summon some random joe.

I've always thought Beth lacks in the whole "You save the world, here is your totally epic awesome reward"
Instead it's more like "You saved the world. You reward is this pie! Yeeaaahhhh!"

Fried potatoes.

Seriously, they have potatoes, they have cast iron cookware, they have fire, and I find it hard to believe they do not have some type of oil or fat for cooking. There is no way a culture with all of those things does not immediately invent fried taters at the first opportunity. :P

What! Why would you want to fry a potato when you can bake it?

Potato in the jack sprinkled with mammoth cheese and grilled chicken briast wash it done with a honning brew mead
Now that's a meal!

Kids? Don't be so bloody daft.

I can just imagine
trying to fend off a horde of smelly nasties, when there's a tug on my cloak, and a little voice is heard to say...
"Mummy, I need to pee."

AFAIK you can't even bake potatoes in Skyrim, you just have to be lucky enough to find them already baked.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good baked tater... in fact I've never met a potato I *didn't* like, lol, but fried taters, that's something special and it's missing and all the necessities for them seem to be there. I mean they have leeks which you could substitute for onions, they have salt, okay I haven't seen any pepper but you take some chopped up potatoes and some diced leeks and some salt and throw those in a pan with some grease/oil/fat over your campfire and you got yerself a nice crispy tasty treat.

I just don't think it's realistic that a society would have all the thngs you need for fried potatoes, and NOT fry potatoes. It's... uncivilized, is what it is. :P

I know there is a mod for PC gamers, but having the ability to haul and use camping gear on the road. I've used the random camp site a few times....usually seems to be a hunter's camp. But I'd certainly like the ability to make camp and rest while traveling long distance. This should come with a fire and cooking pot if that is your thing.

Also, the ability to load a limited amount of gear (like the camping gear) on my horse. Maybe saddle bags and a small rolll of gear (tent/bed roll) behind the saddle.

Other race children would be nice, I was someone happy when I heard kids were gonna be in the game because I thought I'd see kid versions of the other races. Turns out I was wrong and only humans apparently have children.

Other than that just a harcore mode could be fun. Aatually have a purpose for all this food.

Drunk - If I drink a lot of mead I want my character to stumble about.

the drink and food can both be gotten easily by mods- because i use them - just go on the nexus and you will see :)

as for the kids... haven't found anything yet but i guess its a pretty big thing to do

I think tinkles exist. Ever encounter the 3 guards and prisoner and one of them is just off the road? I always figured the one standing off the road was answering nature's call.

After drinking skooma you get a decent buff, but after it wears of you get a small debuff and then a major one if you go 2 whole days without Skooma that lasts or a while. Or maybe a potion could cure it....
