Your Favourite Little Place or Occurance in Skyrim?

I like Goldenglow Estate. I just wish we could use it as a proper home...and that it had a smelter. :P

When I get Honeyside I like the sunset view of the Throat from the back deck. It has exactly the feel of being in a bustling neighborhood, but having a quiet backyard to get away from it all.

Just found Arcwind Point on a wander, holy geez .... this is my 4th playthrough and about a zillion hours in.
OK That's not really a "favorite place or occurrence," but it reinforces my bewilderment when people say they've "beaten" the game....

There are a million little things in this game that I love, but I'm always finding something new.

I'm in a vampire dungeon on a quest. There's a cage with a mutilated body inside. I stood underneath it and looked up to see if there was anything of interest. Drops of blood are dripping from the body, spattering on the wooden floor, and staining the snow beneath the floor. The drops don't stick to your view like spatter in combat does though. But I thought it was a nice touch, albeit a morbid one.

The little cabin in the woods near Riverwood, where the old lady lives... until you go in her basemant and she tries to kill you as you exit...

The mine outside Riverwood near the first standing stones, I go there and clear it out all the time.
That's literally the first dungeon I go to.

I also enjoy the shack behind Bleak Falls Barrow with the witch posing as a little old lady until you break into her basemant.

I also like that alchemist house towards the mountains outside whiterun. I killed the man inside and its now my home. Had to clean it up after the battle though. he blasted up the place haha.
ow that mad dark elf? yes he is a little...anxious about visitors :tongue:

I don't like killing NPCs if I can help it, so after I found out he was so hostile, I crept into his house using Invisibility - because he had a rare book I wanted.
It didn't work and he spotted me so I ran outside and immediately re-cast invis. I had one of those priceless 'wtf?' moments when he came storming out of his house and started running around looking for me. Then he proceeded to blow up anything that moved. Unfortunately what moved were his own chickens whose poor flaming corpses went flying in every direction. I felt so guilty, that after he went inside, I used Detect Dead to find every one of their corpses and resurrect them with the console.

Goldenglow Estate is awesome for the best stalking and sniping eva. I love sneaking in the water to pop up and one-shot a merc with my bow. But they haven't respawned. :(

Dork. :lol:

Yeah, it doesn't respawn and the containers are safe, but you can't move your spouse there so it's not a proper house. :P

I wish it would respawn instead of being able to live in it. Another problem with it is that the torches didn't get fixed (like the Nirnroot glow) with 1.6. It used to be perfect for night time black ops - with the subtle torch glow and all the shadows to hide in - but now the torches are becoming atomic.

I was unaware of a torch issue - do multiples spawn on top of each other? :confused;

There are exterior torches in sconces around the outdoor areas and their lighting effect is being applied multiple times in the same way as the Nirnroot glow.

Anise's Cabin...two of my characters live there because it has safe storage...lol. Conan is saving up for Proudspire Manor, and Maylissa lives day to day, so she's not worried about a permanent home just yet. But methinks she's going to cozy up in Dawnguard.

That's not a real number - I think you mean "gazillion". :tongue:
You are correct sir!
It's just so much fun that it *feels* like a mere zillion :tongue: (...and I raise you one :wink_smile: )

But to me Goldenglow is too twisty/maze-y to be a home; I'd prefer Blackbriar lodge but I think that place is missing a kitchen.

I like that too, for the same reason.

I like all the little journals and diaries in dungeons. It makes me feel like Im not *THE* adventurer thats roaming dungeons. Not to mention frostfall lighthouse (can't really remember name). Telling stories through journals and such (cicero's journal) is quite interesting to me. Its like reading a storybook, except i get to be in it :D

Raise? How can I top that - zillion is the highest number there is. ...unless I have 2 zillion. :nod:

But to me Goldenglow is too twisty/maze-y to be a home;
I know. That's the beauty - it makes it more difficult for the chicks to escape when they spurn my advances. :D

And, yeah, Black-Briar Lodge is really cool, too.

Those are cool touches, albeit creepy. :P It's especially creepy when you see the corpse of "Adventurer" in the dungeons. I'm like: "This one is yours? OK, you got this - I'm outta' here." :lol:

That first jump off of Bard's Leap and sometimes when jumping off of a cliff or waterfall. It gives me that falling feeling in my stomach and I'm not even moving.
