Your Favourite Little Place or Occurance in Skyrim?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 5:43 am

I'm talking about little things that you run across while exploring and thought were quite amusing, could be easter eggs, could be a nice view, an amusing dungeon, anything
I've already got as far as I'm going to with questing and I kinda want to explore the game world a little more, what would you guys suggest are good things to go check out?

Skooma dealers, thiefs, and those toll gate bandit bridge east of Whiterun. I love pretending I only have 50 coin and walking on, or being a tough guy/vigil of stendarr. Or just sneak arrow in the knee everyone of them.

Not a small place, but I love the geothermal springs area encountered on the way east to Riften. Nice change of pace, and I had an epic dragon/giant fight there early in my first playthrough.

The waterfall lake on the mountian path from Helgen To Iverstead, that is one of my favorite places. I can't find my pic of it, so I may have to go back again and take another.

My explorer character has walk the edge of the border or as close to it as she can, on the dry side anyway. sometimes she will follow a fox just to see where it goes. Sometimes she will follow hunters.

Did the arrow in the knee thing to a guard and well lets just say that the guard said the arrow in knee line right after

A guard, miles from anywhere, at night, really quiet. Ready for a one-shot kill. How beautiful.Seeing him die.

Little odd event that happened not to long ago. Was on my Khajiit, my sneaky character, and I notice a fox running like hell. I commence to the sneaking posture. As I draw my bow for a long-distance shot, I notice 3 frost trolls and 1 normal dark troll chasing the poor mammal across the field. I began to panic as my sneak was around 30 and archery around the same. (I was obviously a lower level) So I run between the trolls and the fox, in an effort to save his life, while this was happening I hear a rather large slam noise. I happen to spin around and a Frost Dragon had landed behind the squad of trolls. The frost trolls being immune to mostly all frost damage, the dragon had no hope if he was to frost breath the trolls. I sneak off to a safe distance and watch the band of trolls crush this dragon ruthlessly. Was quite an enjoyable site to watch. I find myself thinking about that little fox often.

That riverside shack that has a bear or sabertooth spawn in it. It might be the svckiest home ever, but when you feel like getting your character's hands dirty in the pure wilds, that place is perfect.

The Alchemist's shack, the only thing it lacks is a chair and a cooking pot. But the surroundings are beautiful, and if you go for a little walk and gather what you see (don't miss the nearby cave), you can make lots and lots of potions :)

And the view from the balcony in the master bedroom at Dragonsreach. I love that view so much that I'm seriously thinking of letting one of my future characters have an affair with Balgruuf, just to have a reason to have breakfast on that balcony every morning.

Try the leap of faith above Crabber's Shanty - or find an even higher survivable jump off. Cheese wheeling - drop a cheese wheel down a mountain and race it to the bottom. Great place for that is along the drop off between The Rift and Eastmarch. The mountains behind Bthardamz and Ragnvald are a great place for climbing on a sunny day.

Agreed. I love the Rift in general, but swimming off the dock of Honeyside and catching fish is a must-do for me when I'm home.

I have a Saved Game where the Giant with the Cow has decided to help his fellow Giant against the Companions. The funniest part is listening to Aela say her dialogue after the Companions suffer a horrid beat down. The Giant also has some nice items for a level one character to loot.

The mine outside Riverwood near the first standing stones, I go there and clear it out all the time. I also like that alchemist house towards the mountains outside whiterun. I killed the man inside and its now my home. Had to clean it up after the battle though. he blasted up the place haha.

Nay I walked in and took a seat by the fire when he charged out the back room.

He should have locked the door... :P

I like taking long walks through the wild...watching the deer wander gracefully throughout the wonderful lands of Skyrim...then falling to the ground as my arrow pierces their neck...the blood flow...how nice...
