Back in september in New Vegas forums, those good obsidian guys always posted comments on random treads and answer our question....I miss those days!...in 5 months roaming skyrim's tread i NEVER came across any Bethesda's reply or comment...Good old Jason Bergman became a common figure in our New Vegas treads...now i feel like skyrim's devs are like unreachable gods or something like that.... :cryvaultboy: :cryvaultboy: :sadvaultboy:

Yeah props to Jason Bergman especially. Josh Sawyer and Chris Avellone generally showed up for big events (DLC release) or bigger threads, but Jason always did his best to keep in touch with people and answer their questions.

The dev's reply a lot in the support forums. I also know that they read these boards regularly, because I've seen them pop into a thread whenever it seems to highlite a genuine technical problem with the game. This is especially true if the bug can be recreated.

However, when they chime into such a thread, they usually move it to the secret tech support section that none of us bother to read, then carry on in there.

So they are around, I know they pay attention. And they probably have a fairly decent sense of what people are screaming about. There's really no point in them contributing to the debate, though, because they are going to do their own thing one way or another, regardless of what the forums are saying. However, seeing lots of threads on an issue, or a really popular thread, I know they notice those things and take them into account, for patches and for future games.

Look at their patch notes. If you notice, most of the things they fix are things that are fiery topics on the forums. It may not be the very next patch that fixes it, but they get it eventually.

this makes so much sense, cuz 2bh, i would bombard them, id take screenshots of their comments....what id do is fairly sad if i saw one of the devs...

That's a good plan, cuz chickens don't have knees, and the guards would have to quit squawking about that career-ending shot!

A number of Devs log onto the boards, they just do so invisibly.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but besides monitoring the Forums, isn't the job of a Moderator also to report the state of the community, what it wants, interesting suggestions, etc, to the developers? It seems mildly stupid to have a Forum otherwise.

Edit: P.S. Wow, you have a lot of posts.

I remember Bergman and Sawyer making fun of the guy who said waiting for Honest Hearts to go online was more stressful than his first divorce.
