I was just wondering if anyone else would like this changed? isnt it common sense to jab quick with your weaker arm and power hit with your strong arm? Personaly I would like this changed cause I do want to be a monk or fist brawler once im done with my Knight.

Interesting concept, but in Skyrim, both of your character's arms are equal in strength, and either can do a weak or powerful jab.

I know of a mod called Way Of The Monk, have you tried that out?

My big gripe is that throwing a punch is actually slower than wielding daggers. Unarmed attacks are defined in the CK as having a weapon speed of 1 (the same as 1H swords), whereas daggers are 1.3 (30% faster), plus they aren't affected by the Dual Flurry perk.

A fist fighter doesn't necessarily have to be a monk. Not sure why so many of you seem to think that is a prerequisite to being unarmed. Personally I would just be a warrior type who likes to brawl. Unfortunately with no unarmed tree, it would be missing a lot, specifically decent damage.

The only thing I didn't like about brawling is that you can't block.

Right, right, its not for the devs to decide which is your dominant arm...so, in fact, all player characters are equally strong with both arms!
Either way roleplaying a right or left-handed character is ruined.

Its because of Neverwinter Nights 2 and Khelgar, the dwarven monk who started out as your typical bar-brawling fighter until he got absolutely THRASHED by some monks. Its the natural progression of an unarmed fighter I think.

Unless you're a trained fighter and both arms are equally strong ...

Who?

Personally I've always associated the monk class as unarmed. Shaolin Monks.
