Tis' the season?

Seasonal foliage, snow footprints, verlet surfaces and flow-based water shaders, any one of those features would make me happy!

I don't want seasonal foliage. It would eliminate the distinct look of certain regions. Everywhere would look too samey. I like having the Rift look different compared to the Reach and other places.

Seasonal foliage wouldn't remove the Reach's mountains. It'd still look plenty different comparatively.

I luff the rift! It has the best scenery in any game ive ever seen ever. Imagine running the rift in CryEngine3

Imagine Rift with the new Unreal engine 4! One of the developers of UE4 mentioned how he would love the next Elder Scrolls game to look like this and Geoff Keighly mentioned how after the presentation of UE4 at GDC, Todd was really impressed with it.

Not necessarily true, it would just mean areas would be more in sync, but not the same. Mountainous areas would still retain more snowy regions than say Riverwood during summer.

The Fable series died out after The Lost Chapters was released. Their idea of "having options" died. Fable 3 was an embarassment and Fable: Journey is probably going to be their worst installment of the series yet.

Oh I know, Fable 1 was awesome, Lost Chapters added a very nice bit of stuff and really gave it the ending it deserved. Fable 2 was sad, 3 was a joke. And Journey's has just made me embarassed to tell people I once liked the series.. lol

The Rift wouldn't look as different as Falkreath now though.

I would cry with happiness if Lionhead Studios handed the project over to Bethesda and they accepted. With Albion placed into the hands of Bethesda, I think that Bethesda could really turn Albion's lore into something innovative and creative again. I feel like I have more options in Skyrim than I do in a game that is supposed to be about options lol. Oh well, maybe one day...

Tell me about it. Combining that with holiday celebrations (which would take some extra dialog, a little geometry switching, and texture swapout) would breathe so much more life into the worldspace. And it would give a dynamic to the seasons that says 'people live here' that the games since DF have kind of lacked. Celebrations were far more important than they are considered today, and usually more meaningful. Them having to yank the festival lighting in the towns at the last moment was disappointing. It would have been so cool to walk into one of the walled cities and have a lit square and lots of character billboards milling around.......
Oh yes. I would love having the festivals.
