Werewolves, what drives me nuts

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 5:16 am

I actually do not mind playing the game in 3rd person. I'm currently doing a strictly 3rd person playthrough right now to see how well it plays, and it's been going fine. I do not, however, understand why some things have been forced 3rd person. I believe it should be up to the player to decide 1st or 3rd person.

Level 42 and I play on master. I don't die often.
Do you spam the howl of terror?

Can't. Enemies are too high of a level for it to work. I use totem of brotherhood even though the spirit wolves die in 1 hit.

I actually dont have a problem with the werewolves in skyrim, but then i never played very far into morrowind. beast blood is a great power for when my archer just cant handle the mob. but i do deeply wish for 1st person while a wolf.

I play as a Werewolf for RP purposes, but I cant wait to finally upgrade my wolf and tear out some vampire throats.

What drives me nuts about werewolves:
I think you're rewarded more for being a vampire more than a werewolf, even if they have to have their feeding chore every 3 to 4 days. They get human armor, weapons, perks, a new skill tree that has 6 more perks (not totally sure how much really) in it than the werewolf perk tree, poison resistance.
Werewolf's don't get the random transforms (is a minus for some players, a bonus for others). No armor and no real damage resistance in beast form. Damage done is weak to their superior enemies after level 10 and only the truly blessed and skilled players can fight them past that.
Feeding and health perks are way to low.
No regeneration. (Seriously?)
No perks (pre dlc) or weapons to add on damage can leave a werewolves doing the same damage as a dagger or sword.
No stealth you walk into a dark room your enemies know where you are and you have no clue where they are.
No magic or dragon shouts. Howls are very limited and again not really reliable past level 10.
Can't fight anything above 4 meters in the air cuz you can't reach.
Without the ring of Hircine you would be stuck waiting 24 hours to be able to transform again.
Everyone is talking about 3rd person so no need to add that.
The time limit is to short when you're fighting a really strong enemy you time out before you even get down half its life.
Absolutely no enchantments to help with extra health/stamina/regens while in beast form.
Travel is really fast! As long as you know where you're going...
Bounty seems to low for turning into a werewolf.
Werewolf human form looks exactly the same as normal human form. Except the lovely new responses from npc's "You smell like a wet dog, been tending to your hounds?" or "Is that fur coming out of your ears?".

My thoughts: (If anyone cares~)
I for one wanted to be a wood elf and get the snake blood perk thinking this would solve my falmer poison issues and have only recently found out it doesn't get the 100% poison resistance I should have...
I still love being a werewolf more than any other form of play just cuz I love the hunt! But cuz I don't really hold much skill or spare time I can't really fight anything more than wild animals or guards past level 10 without dieing a quick and disheartening death.
I think there should be more bonuses for human form when you're a werewolf too. Not just the disease resistance, just because I accept the beast as who my character is. Human form feeding or animal strength would have made him more like the wild beast he is. Instead have to switch between two rings to get that feeling...

Anyway thanks for listening if anyone did!~
